I'm so excited for more sparkles Pre-trip report to DLRP
I am calling this the "I'm so excited for more sparkles" pre-trippie. When we went to WDW in Nov last year, I called our trip report "A special sparkle in your tummy" and as we off to DLRP for a small dose of the old sparkles I thought it would appropriate.
Cast: Me - Liz aged (argh!) now 31 Hubby - Nev will turn 32 on this trip Darling daughter - M who is 4 Since coming home from our first trip to WDW Florida last November we have all missed Mickey Mouse every moment of every day... or at least that is how it feels. As there is not much chance of us getting back to Florida for the next couple of years, we toyed with the idea of a couple of days in Disneyland Paris. We thought and thought and just kept deciding that it would not be as good at WDW. Then, after a couple of glasses of Rose Wine had been consumed, I opened an email informing us of an amazing offer. Coincidently it was for my hubby's birthday so in my slightly tipsy state, I thought it must be fate. I should add that I hardly ever drink alcohol so the effect of my two glasses was quite a shock. Anyway, a short call to DLRP later and we are booked to go for two nights/3days to Davy Crockett - self drive with half board and eurotunnell. To say that we are all excited is an understatement! here is the plan: Sat 21st March leave home midday and head off down to Folkestone. staying in the Holiday Inn near the Tunnell Sun 22nd March early start brekkie at the hotel across the Channel on the Eurotunnel arrive at Davy Crockett at approx 1pm grab our tickets and head off to Disneyland Magic Kingdom (or whatever its called) the 22nd is hubby's birthday so I have booked dinner for 7.30 at Cafe Mickeys Mon 23rd March EMH day in Magic Kingdom dinner at Inventions Tues 24th March EMH go to the Studios maybe back for one last look at the castle Lunch ? dont know where then head home Any suggestions to make it greater still? I should add that we are not expecting Florida style Mickey in anyway but it will just be fab to go to dinner with the old guy (80 is old!). Although I didnt realise when I booked, but its changeover period so hardly any of the shows are taking place which is disappointing - there is only the Parade each day and nothing else. Anyway that must explain the cheap price and hopefully it will mean less people in the park. |

Have a great time, We always do. When staying at Davy crocket you will find some characters up by the pool/ resturant area in the evening. I saw the main mouse myself and had a cuddle and a photo with him and NO crowds.
My 3 kids love the space offered at the ranch and the drive is so easy from the tunnel. Enjoy it.
