Well here goes!

We are:

Me - Mel (37) - Chief planner, organisational control freak and lover of Disney and Florida
DH - Leigh (37) - Keen golfer and championship beer drinker
DD - Lydia (11) aka Pops - Disneyholic, loves Florida and shopping, is a typical girl and our little princess

The History:
I have been on many Florida trips, some with and some without DH (DH hates flying and, unlike me and DD, not too keen on Disney )
After a wet summer last year and a hard year working DH said he would love to go to Florida with just me and DD, something we have never done to Florida before as all our trips have been with other people. How exciting

The Plan:
On a wet and damp day in October we booked our holiday.

Flights were booked with Virgin Atlantic for a 12 day stay, flying from Manchester on the 26th July 2009, 2 days after DD finishes school.

As we like to tour around Florida a little we decided on spending our first week at St Augustine on the East coast just north of Daytona. We found a gorgeous beach house and booked it for a very reasonable $800. The house is stunning and very well equipped.

We have always stayed in villa's in the Lindfields area of Kissimmee, but this time as there were just the 3 of us, we thought we would splurge and stay at a luxury WDW hotel. My immediate choice was The Yacht Club as i love Epcot and it's a stones throw from there. We were also lucky to get the free DDP too. Tickets added also for the 5 days.

So that's the important stuff sorted next to add the detail

The detail:
ADR's all booked incl CRT, Cali Grill and CP
Illuminations cruise booked - sharing with Squigls
Golf booked for DH - One tee time at St Augustine and one at WDW i'm sure that will keep him quiet
Esta's completed and approved
Car Hire sorted with Avis
Seats booked on both outgoing and incoming flights
Dog sitting sorted for our adorable dog Joe
Dibb Itinerary completed
Photo share with Squigls arranged
Passports all in date
PDPC sent to DD by Disneybunny

Well time to organise clothes, spends and finish off any last minute planning.

Great read, don't know who this squigls chick is that keeps butting into your lovely hol, I'd boot her into touch straight away

Just being nosey but how do you get free ddp - is it just the luck of the draw?

Look forward to seeing your trip report on your return in particular I am looking forward to seeing some photos of St Augustine.

Free DDP was one of the perks of booking a WDW hotel after 2nd Aug 09 and is a real bargain for us

I'm looking to St Augustine too so i will bore you with the detail no problem
