Our quick report on DLP
We had 3 days there staying at the New York hotel. The hotel was lovely and we had a lakeside view on the 6th floor.
We had a fantastic time and would recommend going but be warned... EXTREMELY expensive to eat and drink and to buy gifts. It was just my fiance and myself, so I can't begin to imagine how expensive it will be for a family of 4! For example it cost almost £70 for a one course meal with one alcoholic drink each in the Rainforest cafe! 3 days is long enough at DLP, as once you have done the parks you kind of find yourself just wandering around aimlessly! Plus... you would have probably run out of cash in 3 days! The crush coaster was brilliant but get in the queue early as it was always longer than an hour! The backlot tour was to me personally, a waste of an hours queue! It just doesn't work in Paris as it isn't a working studio compared to America. The tower of terror was good, very similar to Florida, I love this ride! Along with the rock n roller coaster! As I have posted in another thread, we found that the general customer service there was very poor! No one was helpful and 99% of the time they were down right rude! Another big downer of DLP are the queue jumpers, it just seems like some nations don't know the meaning of "wait your turn"! Some people were even just barging through knocking small children out the way, it was disgusting behaviour! Even when the characters were out, no one queued, parents just shoved their children towards the character and it was just a massive free for all! I would hate to be a person in the costume... being mobbed all day like that! Even after my moans, I had a wonderful time! I just advise people to be prepared before they go, and just don't try to compare it to America! |
