The "Do I need jabs for Florida?" Pre trip report!

Yessssss! It's nearly time for our so much looked forward to trip to the Promised Land. We've only discovered The Dibb about 2 months ago and love reading the trip reports and we’ve gained loads of hints and tips. We've laughed our mammary’s off at some of them (especially the now famous "Nan" ones) and marvelled at others... so, now it's our turn and, hopefully, you'll enjoy our reports.

Here's the cast listing, in order of appearance in Florida. This is my family and we're arriving first. We all hail from the East Yorkshire area so we are quite used to tropical climates (ho ho ho).

Me - DH, 33, loves Florida.
DW - 31, loves Disney, Florida etc etc
DS1 - 6, An all rounder, sporty, clever, friendly, funny etc
DD - 4, A little cutie who knows it. LOVES princesses.
DS2 - 18mths, A right character who loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. First trip.

This is the extended family who are coming for 10 nights about a week or so after us.

DFIL - 61, Grandad & Dad, a very nice man indeed.
DMIL - 62, Grandma & Mum, quite simply ace.
DSIL - 29 (ahem, 38) The unwitting creator of the trip title. First trip.
DN1 - 16, Moodtastic but great with our kids and very dependable. 2nd trip.
DN2 - 12, Never met a more sorted girl at her age. 2nd trip.
DN3 - 5, A mix of her two sisters. REALLY hates thunder and lightning! Oh crap. First trip.

Right that's enough of the pleasantries. My family of 5 booked to go first about February ’09 for 21 nts flying with VA from MAN to MCO. Then DFIL and DMIL said they would like to come again, they came last time with DN1 and DN2 and we all had a blast. They then asked their other daughter and her 3 kids to come along too. We all seem to get along really well although I could see the need to have two 7 seater cars just in case!

My family are arriving 6 days before the rest and are staying at All Star Movies. This is due to a request by DS1 as we stayed there last time in ’06 and he LOVED the Mickey pool. We then go to a fantastic villa that we've stayed at before for 2 weeks (if you need details just PM me as it really is fantastic). The others (sounds like Lost doesn't it?) arrive 8 days after us and I’m meeting them to pick up their luggage and to show them the way to the villa.

DW and I are the official “planners” for the trip and have spent many a long hour deliberating over which days to do what and where and when to eat. We’ve got all sorts planned and will be posting our trip report when we get back.

Update.

DSIL informed us all yesterday that she will refuse to go on any rides if she can't see what they're like first. She hates fast rides. Yes folks, she thinks that It's a small world will be to scary for her. I tried to tell that the only scary thing about that ride is that damn song!
She's going to try and guage each ride by the looks on the faces of people getting off. "no, no - honestly dsil, you trust us. Those people are crying with joy and sheikra means Fluffy Bunny Cuddle Ride! "

I need a list of the tamest rides in all 4 Disney theme parks so I can find them on YouTube and make her watch them.
