West coast trip 2009 - Part 19

Today is the day we catch up on all the bits we missed out on in both parks as it was too busy to get the rides etc.

Head over to DL first to get the Nemo submarine ride, no FP for this so have to wait 30 mins to get on, but it was amazing, the animated projection of the Finding Nemo film section was superb.

Watch the Jedi Knight training show, this was better than I had expected it to be, lots of child interaction.

Go on Buzz again as this is DD favourite, pick up bits and pieces from the Xmas section and some Toys etc for DD, this is our last full day as we are flying back home tomorrow.

Park hop over to California and catch the HSM 3 show for DD, she is lucky and is called up to dance.

I must admit, the shows/parades really interact with the kids in both parks and it makes it very special for the little ones.

Back to the hotel at around 3PM for a dip in the pool

Dinner is tonight goiung to be the California Pizza Restaurant in Garden Walk, great food, 2 Pizzas, 3 beers come to $38.

Then back to DL to catch the Fantasmic light show in Frontierland, wow this was awesome, the way the images are projected onto the mist is amazing.
During the spellmaking the wind gets up and the sounds are projected all around, it was quite spooky.

After this we head over to Mainstreet infront of the castle to watch the fireworks, then some last minute shopping and back to the hotel to sleep as exhausted from today.

Tomorrow we fly home so have to pack in morning and get ready for the flight home, I will miss the Californian sunshine thats for sure, 3 weeks, no rain!

The last day we wake up and go to Mimi's for a lazy breakfast and finish the laundry whilst we pack.
If you register on their website you can get a free breakfast - Printed on the bottom of the receipt I had, may be a help for someone here.

Check out at 12 and as our flight is 9:15 we head over to Huntingdon beach to watch the beach volley and wander the promenade for a couple of hours, head to the nearest Wlamrt for a last minute fix and off to the airport.

Car dropped off at Dollar without any issues, excellent drop off arrangements, shame they cant get their collection process sped up.

Flight is delayed until 10:45 so have to wait around a couple of extra hours, check in at the BA desk was swift too, very impressed.

Flight home took 9:30 Hrs quick through the airport then a 3.5 hr drive back to S.Wales, roadworks typical.

When I get some time will index these reports and put up some pics and spell check etc, I did the reports on the fly so as I can remember everything I could.

3 weeks no rain, yep not like home at all! I can sense in your words how much you don't want to leave, no better way to spend your last night than watching Disney fireworks.

Thank you for writing up a trip report. We've really enjoyed reading them.

The food seems so much more expensive to eat on site than WDW, so we will have to give that a miss.
