California On A Shoestring - Sept 09 - Day 4 Chill/Pool Day

Day 4 - Chill Out, Pool Day At Sheraton Hotel
Thursday 10th September

DS (14) - Nathan - Loves to eat, never stops talking & loves all theme park rides


This holiday we had decided for the first time since starting to visit the states to have a couple of chill out days, spent around the hotel pool, instead of continually rushing around theme parks and attractions, as much as we love doing them.
DD & DS were okay with this to, as dear daughter wanted to catch some rays and use the gym, DS also wanted to use the gym but also loves swimming. DW just chilled out listening to music & soaking up the rays.
Me, Catch up on writing my notes for trippie, taking pics of hotel, also swimming with DS & catching some rays, although I'm no sun worshipper, as I burn to easily, Ouch!

This report will therefore give me chance to post some pic's, giving you a good idea of the Sheraton Park Hotel, complex, instead of me boring you all to death with all my writing Lol.

We all woke up believe it or not at 07:00am bloody marvelous, when we could have had a lie in, o' well have a snooze round the pool later.
Breakfast was taken in the room as been to the 7 till 11 store on the corner of Harbor boulevard and Katella, & brought some cereal, milk, yoghurt's, fruit and muffins, using coffee, tea making facilities in the room.
After a leisurely breakfast, we made our way down to the pool area around 09:30am, where during the course of the day made good use of the hotel superb facilities.

Around 13:15, lunch was purchased from the hotel pool bar, the variety was good, but not extensive.
I ordered Buffalo Chicken Wrap, DW, Chicken Tenders, (kids meal), DD & DS Fish & Chips, with drinks, beer, Pepsi & 2 orange juices came to a total of $63.24
Portions were big, even DW, Kids meal overall quality of the food was good, especially my Chicken wrap, as seen below.

After a great day around the pool, we made our way to the room around 17:30.
A Shower & freshen up and a drink on the balcony, before heading out for a stroll up to Downtown Disney around 19:00, to stretch our legs and have a look around, soaking up the atmosphere.
We didn't have a meal anywhere, as none of us were really hungry, after what we'd eaten earlier, so just grabbed a snack before heading back to the room around 09:30.
Myself & DS, went to the spa pool for last 3/4 hr before closing, while DW & DD surfed the net.
All retired to bed around 22:45 after a nice chilled out day.

The hotel was really nice all round, only downfall was the high car parking charges, but even that, as we had sorted the problem, did not put a damper on it.

Like I stated in the trippie, we decided this year, we need to have a couple of recoup days, must be our age catching up with us Lol.
