hiya got home last sat miss it already! pg 1

only just found the time to post about our recent trip to dlp 1st to 5th.dec.this is not a full on trip report just a few bits and pieces!
we started off by surprising the kids the morning we were flying they couldnt believe it and we got lots of hugs for the rest of the day.
we really liked the sequoia was a nice change they had already upgraded us to a montana room without us having to ask! we had a nice view of newport bay ,the lake and pine trees.
never got time or energy to use the pool, and only sat by the lovely log fire once.the shorter walk to the parks was fab and a big advantage.but i have to say the cheyenne is still my favourite.
the weather wasnt too bad at all. not too cold didnt need half of the extra layers i had packed. it wasnt bitter at all.a couple of showery afternoons but dodged them well.
we were amazed how quiet the parks were i have never seen them this way since we first went.but this made our trip so much easier and relaxed no pushing and shoving for parades and barely any queues.went on many rides twice.we found the place as magical as ever even after our first trip to florida in april
i wasnt that impressed with mickeys magical party time neither were the kids! and i do think there was a distinct lack of snow! one time we heard the music play and the lights go up from the rooftops yet no snow appeared!
we went ice skating on our last night the artificial ice wasnt as bad as i thought. i do think its more difficult to skate on but the kids found it easier.
all in all tho really enjoyed the few days of soaking up the disney magic and even tho we had done everything we wanted to do by our last day i would have loved an extra day.roll on the next trip is all i can say! for now will be looking at the photos ,playing the dvd home movie and even virtual trips on google earth 3d-have you tried it its fab!

Glad you had a great time. We love DLP and have been 3 times. It is good for a Disney fix.
