Made my first wedding purchase today so i'm really happy (cheers Leanne1977!) Who would have thought one little pillow could make someone so happy? So i've done a list of things to buy prior to the big day:

Rings
Ring Cushion - Check!
Dress - Check!
Sand Ceremony kit
Shoes - Check!
Jewellery
Tiara - Check!
Marriage Licence
Undergarments

What am I forgetting? I haven't forgotten my OH and all outfits for the guys, we will be renting those, and I wont have a bridesmaid

I have a notebook with all my ideas, plans, and am trying to make a list of what i'll need. It's good fun all this planning isn't it but so much to think of.
Will you be having favours?

OH plans to hire a suit aswell rather than buy one.

I got my first purchase today myself, little pull strings bags in aqua and i want to find something to go in those as little favours. I know the dress i want but still to try it on, have you started looking at dresses yet?
I'm so ahead of myself, i still have 2 years to go but have made quite a few decisions alread

Sarah I have about 5 stone to lose before I will be going dress shopping I've done it before, i'll do it again! I don't think i'll be doing favours in all honesty, every favour i've had I ended up throwing out :S I hope no family member read this... :-o

Not having a reception per say, just doing a normal ADR for everyone. I doubt I'll be able to get the place cards over to yachtsman in time and place them ever so diplomatically to avoid problems between gareth's family members

I wasn't sure about favours either but i liked these little bags haha and then i spotted the cinderella candles and i really like them so i guess i will now be doing something.

Do you plan and doing you own invites, place cards, menus etc?

Ooh thats where we now plan on having our reception/meal thanks to Disney and this new stupid $7500 min spend :angry:
I know you can work with the manager to do things, have decor etc somebody did this and emailed back and forth to him about what she would like.
I hope to get my own menus printed up, in colour theme of the wedding and maybe name cards too. I'm going to ask if i can bring these to him the night before or if not will send my mum over with them after ceremony while me and OH are having pictures

How many guests do you plan to have again?
