Wrinkley Wedding Dresses!

How is everyone taking their wedding dress abroad? With virgin we have been told it has to be packed with our luggage, so...

Does anyone know the best way to get the creases out of their dress once its unpacked?

Is it worth finding someone in Orlando who can do it? I dont really fancy using an iron - it could all go horribly wrong!

I've got a hard case which is small enough for cabin baggage so that's where mine is going with lots and lots of tissue paper. Although I like the boxes, they are made of cardboard and it only takes a leakage in the overhead

The travel boxes from the Empty Box Company are not made from cardboard. They are made from a special PH board that is lightweight and waterproof. Amy's was so strong... she sat on it at the airport

As for getting wrinkles out hang it on the outside of shower rail (with the curtain shut) put the shower on the hottest it will go. Shut the bathroom door and leave it to steam for about an hour. Same with the veil.

Ooooh, off to have a nosey. The ones I saw on Ebay were definitely not waterproof but if you can get waterproof ones, I could be persuaded

I'm definately taking mine on as hand luggage and then will either get it professionally steamed or use the shower trick.

I am taking my dress as hand luggage, in a light weight suit case. I was going to get a special wedding dress box but would prefer to pull a suitcase than carry a heavy box.

Hoping i can hang up the dress and veil to get the creases to drop out. If not i will give Carolyn Allen's a call and i am sure they would be able to come and steam them at some point before the wedding.
