I'm sure I'll never need to buy grocery shopping that badly that I need the shops to open on Christmas Day - that's awful.

There are a lot of people who do not celebrate Christmas so for them it is just another day... (I am not one of them, I LOVE Christmas! Lol) However if others do not celebrate it and wish to work, do shopping or other things as usual then that is fine

Given that the only day off I get for the holiday season is Christmas Day (I work in transport) I'm dead against anything opening on that day. Why can't folk just stay at home and enjoy a day off work? I appreciate that Britain is a multi-culural society these days but one day of closed shops isn't going to kill anybody. As Boxing Day falls on a Sunday I see some retail outlets are thinking of breaking the Sunday Trading Laws. A lot of people will get the Monday and Tuesday off work in lieu of 25th and 26th falling on a weekend. Surely that's soon enough to want to go shopping?

This is my 1st year in 6 I havent worked in retail and knowing how hideous a job it is at Christmas (and the rest of the year!) Id certainly have told them to shove it if my old work wanted to open on Xmas Day!
