Off To Dublin.
What can i say,we have just won some tickets from our local radio station to go to Dublin for the day.
We leave on friday at 7am to catch the ferry which leaves about 8-15am. It takes about 4hrs to get there. As i have never been on a ferry before i am a little nervous to say the least, must root out my arm bands and rubber ring in case i topple over board . We are spending the day in Dublin for some shopping and sight seeing before we leave to catch the ferry home. Won't get home until about 5am saturday. So not much for Shogun or me. Will post pics when we get back. |

Hey well done!
Which ferry are you going on? I have been on the Irish Ferries Holyhead - Dublin many times. There are 2 Irish Ferries that sail that route. One is a swift ferry and takes about 1 hour and 50 mins and the other is the cruise ferry and that takes about 3 hrs and 20 mins. The cruise ferry is massive and you hardly feel like you are moving - there are shops, a pub, a cinema and plenty of places to eat and just sit down . The swift ferry is fine but can be a bit bumpy if it is a bad weather day. Other than that there is Stena line - I have not sailed with this company but I think the timings to Holyhead on it are about the same. Although one of their routes goes into Dun Laoghaire and not Dublin Port. You will have a great day. Do one of the hop on hop off bus tours and you will get to see everything and decide where you want to stay next time you come over! Edited at 03:21 PM. |
