Tinks Summer 2013 Trip West Coast Day 1

We're staying at the Hyatt Regency which seems to be very close to the port. We've got a huge room and there's plenty of room even with a rollaway bed in it

Today was going to be a take it easy day as we knew we'd be super tired after the journey yesterday. We started with an early breakfast from Starbucks as soon as they opened a 5:30am which I brought back to the room. This is our view

At a more reasonable hour, we set off for a walk to the port of Canada Place, this is the view of our hotel from the outside, we're on the 24th floor

First stop was a quaint little church across the road but it was so early that it wasn't open so perhaps we'll try again tomorrow

This is the Cactus Club where we had dinner last night and will probably go back to another night

we made it down to Canada Place which is less than 5 minutes away from our hotel. We spent quite a bit of time watching the boats and also a couple of float planes that were taking off and landing. The ship in port wasn't that interesting so I took this picture instead and will save the cruise photo until the Wonder is in port

We then headed to the Sky Train station as we were going to MetroTown which is the second largest mall in Canada. On the way we passed this tribute to Cory Montieth the Glee star who passed away a few days ago
