Question How long is 14 days?

So the planning has started for the next trip and due to flight constraints we are heading towards an issue.

We arrive on Thursday 22nd, but it will be late so not going to a park that night, but will be starting on Friday 23rd. On the Saturday we then go on a cruise till the 31st then back in the parks until the following Saturday when we fly home.

BUT when will our tickets run out, the last Thursday feels ok but will they work on the Friday i won't expect them to work on the Saturday but we can probably survive not going in a park that day.

Does it make any difference if we go with UK or US tickets?

A 14 day ticket works for 14 consecutive days from the day you activate it as far as I know but sure someone will be along to verify

They will work on the Friday but not the Saturday.

UK 14 day and US tickets will both work for the same length of time so whichever is better value I would buy.

14 consecutive calendar days of admission. I.e. SAT 23/07/16 to FRI 05/08/16

But there have been reports of people getting 15 days (Disney tickets). There is a big tread on the dibb, sorry can’t find it link.

Found one of the main ones. There is a lot of talk about this topic.

Universal tickets work over 14 consecutive days, Disney tickets are valid for 14 days from activation and will work on the 15th day.

Taken from the Disney holidays website
disneyholidays/walt...q/theme-parks/

"Is there an expiration date on the tickets that I am ordering?
Disney's Ultimate Tickets expire 14 days after first day of use for 7- and 14-Day Tickets and 21 days from first day of use for a 21-Day Ticket."

This means that the 14 day tickets are for (in effect) 15 days as its 14 days after you first use them. Whereas the 21 days are 21 days including the day you first use them.

You do get the 22 days on the 21 day ticket. When I spoke to Disney about this awhile back, they told me that the 14/21 day Ultimate Tickets were only valid for 14 or 21 consecutive days from and including the first day of activation, but they had given me the wrong information. I had given that information out on this site, and I apologised for this as I had been misled by Disney.

If you go on the thread "15 days on 14 day ultimate [ or 22 on 21 ]" started by princessjilly, have a look at the photo of a 21 day ticket that has been linked to MDE sent in by Caroian in post #33. It clearly shows that there are 22 days of admission remaining on a 21 day Ultimate Ticket.

Hope this helps.

Thanks all, so it does look like we will be ok with a 7 day ticket as with the cruise we won't be in the parks that often.

I thought a 7 day ticket was valid for 14 days for allowing 7 days of entry
