This was my first stay in a Disney Budget Hotel after staying in a handful of others and non Disney Hotels.

I was very impressed.

Staff are friendly and the Disney atmosphere is everywhere.

The lobby has a large shop, big food court, an arcade and an ATM which was helpful.

I stayed in the preferred rooms, Fantasia block. The theming was great with the big character statues everywhere my children (7 and 3) loved it. The room, as can be expected, was basic, small table with two chairs, fridge, TV, vanity area that could be closed off with a curtain and bath/shower room. Two double beds in one room and the air con worked absolutely fine.

I preferred the noise level to the Art of Animation Little Mermaid block - it seemed less manic, more laid back and I couldn't hear any screaming or running around from the swimming pool.

The swimming pool itself is fantastic and they throw beach balls in to play with. Life jackets are provided for children of all ages saving time and money on arm bands and rubber rings and what is often not mentioned is the kids splash area perfect for toddlers and small children, it is extremely shallow, has slightly warmer water and small water jets. My son loved it.

The food court is fine although I prefer to dine out of Disney. A family of four can expect to eat for $35-50 unless on a plan. Drinks aren't too expensive and you can simply buy snacks and drinks - the coffee is fine and the cake selection is brilliant.

I would return to the hotel but personally could not spend 2 weeks + in the same bedroom as my kids!

This was my second time staying here for a couple of nights before getting access to our villa. I chose this hotel for its relaxed atmosphere for the kids, large pool and the oversized Disney characters and movie theme. We only used the food court for breakfast and mostly just ate cereals and fruit but we did on one occasion get mickey waffles and bacon etc and it was ok. The on site refillable mugs are always a good purchase (around $12.99 if I remember correctly) Movies by the pool at night and a good wee play area too for toddlers and younger children. Good toddlers pool splash area as well.

Fun hotel that kids will love with all the theming and in my opinion after staying at all the value resorts, the best of the bunch. Would stay again.

We decided to stay at this hotel because when we stayed in the all star music in 2009 we walked over to movies and thought that it was a bit better. We had big groups of school kids in the music hotel and someone told us that they didnt et put into the movies hotel which was why we chose to stay there. Well lol, it was absoloutley swamped with school girls from argentina. Very very noisy, no manners whatso ever. If you didnt have a seat in the food hall when they walked in , it was a mad free for all. We took to eating out most days because of this.
The hotel itself was always very clean..no problems there.
The food was average, but adequate. We made good use of the refillable mugs while we were there.
The transportation was ok most days, but because some of the buses picked up at sports and music before us they were already full when they got to us. So we had to wait longer.
Our housekeeper didnt replenish the toilet roll at all which was not good as my DH had to keep going to the front desk for more. She kept leaving more and more soap and shampoo though which we didnt use as we take our own toiletries. by the end of the fortnight we had 19 soap and shampoos !
Also ... a very bad point was ... we went out early one morning and when we returned at around 8pm we found our room door was left open by the house keeper. It wasnt just unlocked it was actually open. Our room was in the dalmatian block , ground floor so lots of people had walked past it all day. Luckily we always take all our passports and money out with us and nothing was missing . I did complain to the front desk and told them it had better not happen again. They assured me it wouldnt but we did feel uncomfortable the next few days.
Personally although it was clean and the food ok, i would not stay there again. The hoardes of schoolkids spoilt things a bit. And needless to say the housekeeper didnt get a tip.xx

Hmm... dont know about this place. its value which is good if u dont have much money and dont really hang around the room to often. The big statues and decorations were incredible! But the rooms were tiny and it was just odd to be in. It was very weird and hilarious when the staff started dancing and singing during breakfast!
overall
very good if u have small children u need to keep entetained at all times!
not so nice when u are just adults or adults with older kids.

One of the worst resorts we stayed at aimed mainly at children but that's not the problem we were put in mighty ducks as the resort was completely full and no other rooms available the maid service was the worst I have ever experienced didn't clean propley never left any cups so we could have a drink didn't make the beds properly and just kept recyleling the towels the food was always cold I would not recommend this resort at all

We stayed at this resort for 4 nights in August of last year. I loved the theming which is great for kids but found it too motel like for my liking. The food court was good but very expensive. The shop was great and I spent too much money!
Unlike other recent reviews, we didn't have a problem with the cleanliness at all. Maid service was very good, she even decorated our window space. I did leave a daily tip for her which may have made a difference. We didn't use the transport as we preferred to use the car rather than wait for buses so I can't comment on that. I did use the laundry which was fine and I could sit out by the pool while it was finishing off.

We have just returned from our second visit to this hotel. We paid extra to stay at All Star Movies, because we really wanted the Toy Story section. On checking in however, we were told that we hadn't booked a preferred room so could only stay in the Lovebug or Mighty Ducks buildings. We weren't prepared to pay even more so we got a room in the Mighty Ducks block. We were a little disappointed initially because we had our hearts set on the Toy Story section, but it turned out to be better. We were close to the 'Duck pool', and we also had a choice of two food courts and two bus stops. In fact we used the 'Music' hotel for breakfast every day (Movies was ridiculously busy at breakfast time), and the buses too.
The kids loved the hotel. They were renovating the Dalmation building whilst we were there, putting flatscreen TV's on the walls and replacing the furniture.
We were disappointed with our service from the maids, as each night when we peeled back the bedspread, all the sheets underneath had not been made, but just covered up. The room was clean though.
Every single member of staff I spoke to in the Movies hotel (with the exception of those in the shop and the food court) was rude and extremely unhelpful. Not what we expected from a Disney Hotel. I couldn't believe the trouble I had getting a trolley to get my cases from the room, because I wouldn't hand over my passport to them, to borrow a trolley for a whole 5 minutes.
I would not at All star movies again, because having experienced the Music one, I cannot see how they can justify the extra cost to stay at Movies.
Nice hotel for the kids, shame about some of the staff they employ here.
If you go, and are in the Mighty Ducks block, use Music instead. It's less crowded, and those few buses that stop at all 3 All star hotels, stop at Music before Movies, so you have more chance of getting on one at busy times.

We stayed in All Star Movies for our first visit to WDW and we were not disappointed at all. My kids (5 and 8) loved the themed hotel and had such fun exploring each area. The pool was great for relaxing in after being out all day. Great choice of food in the food court. Honestly I cannot fault this hotel! I know it is considered budget but it has everything a young family needs and it is spotlessly clean.

We stayed in this hotel 2007 too, loved it then and booked it again without hesitation for 2010. Still a great resort and was clean and tidy, without exception. Food hall good and varied selection. Transport good and frequent. Reception were brilliant and the shop, well stocked for those essentials (milk and nappies in our case! )

The only issue we had was that we had managaed to pick a time when some south American schoo parties go. Great in the que's as they were always in good spirits and singing, but you try and get on a bus with a buggy/bag and them! they just charge past you with excitement and the teachers seem to not care less that you either end up without a place or strugglemore. Then there is the shouting and chanting at night from these groups. Not good when you are trying to get a little one down!

We just picked the wrong time I think, but I would check again if I was booking there if you can with WDW. It's a great resort and ideal for young familys.

They upgraded us without issue to Wilderness lodge, something that was considerably more out of our reach at that time. I did another review on that and this review is based on how we found Music. Needless to say, we may well end up there again and I'll have no issue with that.

To my mind, it's worth the extra to stay in a Disney resort and this is a great place. Non of the area's are far apart and often walked to other area's within mins to see the other pool or larger than life models.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this resort last summer - we had a ball! We're big kids at heart so this suited us perfectly! If you have children of any age, they will really appreciate the large figurines of their favourite disney characters and LOVE having their photos taken!

Room
We were located a room in the Mighty Ducks block - it was very well kept - lovely cleaner was in every day with towels and sheets. This room location was brilliant because it meant we had our own pool and we were also in walking distance from the Music resort, so we could go and see what the facilities were like over there. (We did not request to be near a pool but i think the earlier you book your resort room the better room you get!)

Location & Transportation
Yes, the location of the hotel is one of the furthest away from the parks BUT its also the BEST value for money if you want a wonderful and REAL Disney experience!
It doesnt take long at all for the bus to take you to Blizzard Beach, ESPN World of Sports and Animal Kingdom
The only downside and i mean ONLY, is that occasionally (not all the time) the transportation buses run as part of the 3 resorts (Music and Sports also) so sometimes by the time the bus gets to Movies, its often busy. If its too full, the bus driver will call another bus to come to the Resort asap!

Eating & Facilities
The dining hall at the Movies resort was fantastic - if you're planning a busy trip like we did then the quick service food options are brilliant.
Breakfast
Breakfast was probably our favourite time of the day - the variety was huge, if you want a quick snack, grab a croissant and a bottle of juice or if you have a little more time, sit down and have a Mickey waffle and hot strawberry sauce. YUMMY!
Lunch/Dinner
Again a great variety of food available - at the end of a long day walking around the parks, whether you like a nice hot pasta meal with your family sitting up at the table in the food court or just to lounge back to your room and order a pizza (which were so nice by the way) its your choice!

Dont forget to get yourself a refillable mug - you have no idea how much money you'll save. we worked it out at each drink was less than $1 the amount we drank over our 2 week stay!

I would definitely return to this resort! its brilliant. Theres a million photo opportunities to create a million memories!

We love this hotel as it's just typical Disney. Everythings colourful and bright and the staff are really friendly too.

Check in only took 5 mins and we were given a room in the Mighty Ducks building (room 2828). We requested this building as it has it's own pool which is quieter than the main pool. Swimming pool is open till 11.30pm and it's heated.

Although the rooms are quite small with not a lot of storage space we found it adequate for our needs. Rooms are cleaned daily and the maids are very friendly.

The food court here has lots to choose from. I think there is about 5 or 6 different counters selling different kinds of food. It is all counter style meals. We found the food court to be very busy at meal times but there are plenty of tables for everyone.

The Disney gift shop in this resort is brilliant too with loads to choose from.

Me and my sister stayed here for 2 weeks in late October 2009 in the Toy Story wing. This hotel was okay, nothing like the other Disney resorts. The rooms I found were very basic, nothing fancy-which is great if you're on a budget. The theming of the rooms was quite good and would appeal nicely to small children, especially if it is their first time at a Disney resor. Mind you it is a good choice for anyone's first time-young or old-who wants to stay on site in a Disney hotel.

The pool atmosphere was quite nice and everyone was friendly. They had quite a good gift shop which impressed my little sister-then 18-and myself, with the amount of Disney merchendise to choose from. The hotel staff honestly couldn't do enough to please us. The ammenities were quite good, and we stayed away from the parks for one day just to use them!

All in all, this hotel is very clean and has a nice friendly atmosphere, the staff were well mannered and friendly-couldn't do enough to please, I thought this hotel catered nicely for children-in that nice Disney style-, it was very close to the parks, just a short bus ride away, and the rooms were very basic, but it was good value, as we only stayed in all day once-to experience the ammenities. I can't really see anyone staying in the hotel room all day, when you're staying on site at Disney World!

I rate this hotel 7/10 and will DEFINATELY be coming back!

We stayed here for 2 nights in sept 2009. we were on our honeymoon and thought we would leave our hotel on idrive for a couple of nights to stay on disney. It was great for visiting disney with good bus links but apart from that it was no better than a budget hotel on idrive. Infact the room was smaller. I woudnt want to stay here for 2 or 3 weeks.

We have stayed here twice and our children absolutely loved it. The theming is larger than life which makes it good fun. We spent time just wandering around the resort looking at the large characters. The rooms are more than adequate with enough room for four (2 children and 2 adults) tops.

Everything is very bright, colourful and 'in your face' but it is good value for money as it has the same benefits as the more expensive Disney resorts.

The restuarant is fine but I wouldn't want to eat there for 14 nights in a row as it is a bit repetitive.

Overall fun and colourful but a good value resort.

Stayed here in august 2009 for two weeks it is the better of the value hotels. Hotel was clean and nice place to stay but staff were sometimes rude and unhelpfull. Using disney transport was sometimes a little hard because the buses fill up quicky from the other allstar hotels but carnt really moan too much as doesn't costs you a penny to travel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone with a family.

My DH and I stayed in the Disney All Star Movies in June for his first Disney holiday and found it to be a great hotel!
We arrived after a problematic flight (delays etc) and the staff checked us in with minnimal fuss and sorted out our park passes for us.
They also give you a little pack with some information in it about resturant opening time and improtant phone numbers ect.

We were staying in the Mighty Duck part of the resort, that part of the resort is further away from the main hall and pool but it has a pool of its own wich was generaly less crowded and it was next to the Disney All Star Music resort main hall so we could pick wich one we ate in.

The first couple of days we only used disney transport wich was great the longest we waited was about 20 minuets.
And as we were close to the music resort we got could get off at either stop.
after the first couple of days it was so hot we drove to the park in the morning spent the morning there and got the bus back to the hotel for a lunch, kip and a swim and then got the bus back for some more disney fun/ dinner and the fireworks and then we drove home so we didnt have to wait for the buses when every one was coming out of the parks.

The Dinner had a great choice of food!
Breakfast could include toast, cerial, fruit cooked breakfast pancakes etc.
Lunch and Dinner they served roughly the same but the choice was much more than i expected.
salad, pasta , pizza , chips, chicken, fish.
there really was something for everyone! definatly try a steak ceaser salad it was brillliant.

I deffinatly recomend getting the refillable mugs. we took it in turns to get up 5 minuets early in the morning to go and get some coffee and then during the day we would fill it up about 11 times.
deffinatly good value for money.

The rooms were cleaned every day, and we asked for extra pillows and towels wich they provided within 20 minuets of us calling. they also gave us extra towels when they replaced them so we didnt have to ask again.
The cleaner even left us little towel animals even though we were only two adults staying.

I deffinatly recomend this hotel to all!
Especially those that are on a budget (like me) that dont want to miss out on the Disney fun!

Hope this helps.

We stayed here for four nights and I have to say if you want "Disney immersion" this is an excellent resort. Perfect if you have little kids. We stayed in Dalmation block and my kids adored it. It's not the height of luxury. The room are like a travelodge room really in bright colours. Having said that they are absolutely spotless inside. The food court is good for snacks. For the price I couldn't fault this resort.

Mainly tailored towards children this resort is fun, vibrant and has a wonderful atmosphere!
We have stayed here the most times during our on-site visits and never had a bad holiday or trouble with service, rooms or location.
Having been located in the "Might Ducks" area several times we enjoyed having the quick access to the All Star Sports dining hall and facilities - sometimes catching buses from there instead!
The pools are lovely and clean and we found the smaller ones to be rather quiet, all in all some wonderful times have been had here and despite us all being adults during our stays here we LOVED IT!
You can't put a price on memories and great service was had each time :)
Definately would return here!

Hotel was spotless, very clean and well maintained. Large food court, but can be very busy for breakfast. Rooms fairly small, but this is a value hotel so you cant expect grand size rooms.

Great for kids, 2 large swimming pools, along with plenty of kids activities from poolside movies, dance partys, competitions and more. Most of the Disney staff very friendly.

Mousekeepers though seems really miserable this time, only 1 item in 18 days made out of a towel for little one, and we did tip her well. Also im dropping pionts for seeing staff steal from hotel with my own eyes, which is NEVER good.

There is also no tea or coffee facility in room, so if you like your morning cuppa, expect to get up and walk for it.

Stayed at Movies 2 years in a row 101 Dalmatians in 2007 and Fantasia 2008 .Rooms are spotless , in fact the whole resort is spotless. Reception staff were brilliant and housekeeping staff friendly. My children loved staying here as the enormous icons really make the place feel special. Food court is pretty basic but this is an economy resort so you can't really deduct marks for that. the shop was constantly being updated and i'd like to point out the only downside is that the bus queues are very long an have NO shelter from the sun ,so long waits can be quite unbearable

Love it! This hotel is the most 'Disney' one of all. My son 3 and daughter 20 months loved it! Too ages to get past all the larger than life disney decoration every day. The room in the MIghty Ducks block was nice. Clean, big enough for the 4 of us and the pool was great, warm, clean and nearly always empty! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good... try the strawberry pancakes! Only used the bus once coming back from Downtown Disney, was busy because of the time of night but came regularly. Dined at the more expensive resorts and found that they did not feel very Disney, the Movies Resort oozed Disney feeling. Want to go back in 2011 and stay there again, sets the Disney mood immediately, would not pay more for another hotel.

The OH and I stayed here for three nights back in January 2008. Our overall impression of the hotel was OK, it's reasonably priced and there are regular buses to the parks.

We were disappointed with the prices of meals at the resort; breakfast was around $10 for not very much.

The rooms are small but adequate, and the theming at the hotel is, as always, spot on.

The hotel is great if you won't be spending much time there, such as just to sleep, and being on the WDW site is always a bonus for getting the best out of Disney. If you're on a budget, I would recommend it, but be prepared for spending quite a bit on meals!

We stayed in the Mighty Ducks sections with a pool view, the kids absolutely loved this (there 1st WDW Vacation). The food court at All Stars Music was closer to us than the one at All Stars Movies (were we were staying). Service in the food court was always good, it took us no longer than 10mins to be served, food was acceptable.
There were always lots of busses to and from the resort with a wait time of approx 5mins.
Very good all round Value Resort and would definately stay there again

We booked quite last minute to stay here for a week for our honeymoon.

Obviously, this is a basic hotel but it was lovely and clean and plenty big enough for the two of us. The theming is great and the pool areas were lovely. We even found the bus service fine.

Unfortunately, we didn't realise at the time that we have been upgraded to a preferred room (closer to everything) so never got to thank anyone.

Would happily stay here again, even with now having 2 little ones.

This was our first experience of a Disney hotel. There were 3 adults and 1 child, so we booked two connecting rooms. We were in the Love Bug section and found it fantastic. The rooms were clean and had plenty of hanging space for clothes and drawers to store everything. The shower was powerful and always had hot water, no matter what time of day it was. The room had internet access which was really handy for uploading all the pics and was $9.99 form 24 hours. We found the room big enough for 2 but would be small for a larger family. The beds were very comfy and air conditioning was easily adjusted to the best temperature. TV has useful information about parks, dining, shopping etc as well as plenty of disney choices. Overall we found it great and would be happy to go back here on our next visit.

We stayed at All Star Movies during the Free Dining Plan, which we had took advantage of. Our first impressions were great, and was greeted by a very friendly CM at the Check In desk.

We were a party of 2 adults and 2 young children. The room size was perfect for us and did not find it too cramped. Everything was clean and tidy and the maid service was good most of the time.

The kids loved the theming of this hotel, and we spent many mornings walking the different areas. The food court had a great selection & we ate here quite a few times to use up our CS credits.

Just one point though, if you ever head back in the afternoon for a rest make sure you put the catch lock on the door. I had chronic back pain so left epcot early and soaked in the bath. DH popped out for some lunch and left the kids watching tv. Next thing Maid Service came in (to use the phone i think), which startled me, i jumped out the bath covered up with a tiny towel. The poor lady neally died from shock i think. I found it more funny than anything.

We stayed for a week for our honeymoon. (left the kids at home with my parents). This was our second time at this hotel and this time we stayed in Mighty Ducks Building. We were given badges to wear for the duration of our stay stating we were on honeymoon this got us a few perks. We got to ride Splash Mountain alone twice and Maelstrom once on our own. We got a small cupcake, certificate and sprinkles on our table at Crystal Palace. We returned to our room one day and we had been left a signed card from Mickey & Minnie and a Balloon. All I can say is if we chose to come back to this hotel for our Honeymoon it must be good.

The bus service however was awful, especially coming home from the parks. Overcrowded and 1 bus often serviced all 3 All Star Resorts.

If you're going to stay at a value I would consider the Pop Century as it has it's own dedicated bus service! - as this hotel only has 2,880 rooms compared to the All Star's collective 5,444

Stayed here twice, then they put the price up so we decided to upgrade to a moderate resort. Both times in the Mighty ducks area, facing the car parks which we found nice and quiet.

Our room was closer to the Music food court (which was handy for drinks), but we preferred the Movies one, and it was only a 5 min walk away.

Also, the Movies was the last pick up on the bus route, so was easier to go the the closer Music bus stop.

Great hotel if you are travelling with children, they will love the Disney characters and the swimming pools. Food court is fine, only used it for breakfast, good idea to eat in the parks and book your meals before you go, especially if you want Character meals. Rooms are clean, fairly basic, but we were not in there that much. Great place to stay.

This was our first Disney hotel experience. The themeing was brill ! From the rooms to the walkways (we took loads of photos just in the hotel grounds ! ) The rooms were comfortable if basic buy hey its just somewhere to rest your head. Maid service was good and we discovered a couple of towel animals some days !
I would definatley reccommend this hotel to families with children.

I loved all star movies because when parents are checking in children can sit in front of a big screen and watch films ( mostly Disney )
And the pools are nice and big and one of them has mickey in the middle
The food is brilliant too we only really had mickey mouse waffles but there was cooked food and everything

Ive just returned from our first trip. I would recommend this hotel as its theming is superb, the staff are great and its onsite without the huge price tag. Howver, sorry to be picky, the beds are small doubles and if ur a biggish family it's a tight squeeze! They are more like queen sized and next time we would stay in a villa for the extra space as once the kids were asleep we could only sit in a dark room! But that's just finding out what suits us as a family, not a fault with the hotel.

Its very clean, staff are great, foodcourt is very good, transport to parks very good also.

The fantasia pool at Toy Story is brilliant.

we stayed here for our daughters 4th birthday, having stayed at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter we knew the benefits of staying on-site
ASmovies is a great resort, the fun factor of it is great, its so disney.
The food court can get busy at time, but we allways got a seat.
The Bus service can be packed at times, they sometimes share the bus with the other all star resorts, this means you will encounter a full bus and have to wait, the driver allways radio's in and another bus is allways just around the corner.
They were refurbing the main pool for the first 10 days of our holiday, when it opened we got back that evening and had to go in the pool, its very good and the life guards were friendly

FUN FUN FUN, just what disney is about

Chose this as it was our first visit to Orlando and weren't sure where to stay. Would throughly recommend it. You get all the Disney benefits (Extra Magic Hours, Free Parking in all the parks etc.). The rooms are fine, there were 4 of us (Me, DW, DD(7) & DS(4). Weren't sure how the kids would get on sharing a bed, but they went straight off every night! The rooms are kept clean, there are loads of towels, soft as well. The food court was ok but ate off-site most days because of the timing of our meals, it is a lot cheaper and there's more choice. However there's mothing wrong with the foodcourt and we didn't worry about eating there.
The acid test is would we go back and the answer is a definate YES.

We stayed in the Love Bug section. The room was better than we were expecting and very clean. We thought there was plenty of choice in the Foodcourt, the onsite shop was great, and we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus, but the best thing about this Resort is the theming. It's definately the most 'Disney' of all the Resorts and perfect for children.

Overall great hotel.Clean and staff very helpful.
Rooms are a bit basicand a bit small. So are the beds[small doubles] but i think there are rooms with kings available.
Food court a bit limited but, advantages of EMH and transport great.
It is the furthest away from the parks and buses can get a bit crowded.

We stayed at All Star Movies on our very first trip to Orlando and was not really sure what to expect from a value resort, but we loved it! We were in Fantasia section opposite the pool and the rooms was very clean and the CM were all very nice. We found that the food court could get very busy so we tended to pick the food up and take back to the room.

Wit the buses it was very hit and miss as to how long you had to wait as they share with the other All star resorts and the Movies is the last one.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bus service was excellent,we never had more than a 5-10 minute wait even from MK at closing time.Would return here VERY happily

We stayed in Nov 2005 and are going back Nov 2007 because we love the hotel so much. Yes the rooms are smaller than most places we have stayed but it was fine for us a family of 4. Its only really a base as we were at the parks most of the day. The children loved the dinsney channels in the room and also the information about the parks on the TV. The food court was good and gave us all plenty of choice. We stayed in the Buzz building which was cloest to the food court and buses. Oh and as for buses we used them all the time and had no problems. Can't wait to go back.

Rooms small but basic and very clean. As we were only going to use them to sleep in it didn't bother us at all. Stayed in the Toy story block and the kids loved it! easy access to the pool and all other amenities, Housekeeping were very good when we needed extra towels, soap etc. Would definately stay there again.

We have stayed at The All Star Movies six times between 2000 and 2005 and found the resort to be excellent value.
We have stayed in most blocks with no issues. The rooms are basic but adequate, which is what you wopuld expect from a value resort. The rooms are decorated by themes and are excellent for the youngers ones.
The pool atmosphere was quite nice and everyone was friendly. The hotel staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to please us.

All in all, this hotel is very clean and has a very family friendly atmosphere, the staff were well mannered and friendly-couldn't do enough to please. We thought this hotel catered perfectly for children. It is situated very close to the parks, just a short bus ride away.

For a value hotel it is excellent .. But be warned that during july the hotel gets overrun with Tour parties of young 16 year old girls mainly from Brazil. Try to avoid this time if you can as it can be annoying when trying to get the transportation.

Loved this hotel. Would definitely recommend it to families, and not just families with young children. Our DS (then aged 13) loved it as well. The rooms are really well themed. We stayed in Mighty Ducks and had a really quiet room. We did have a plumbing problem with the toilet, but this was attended to very promptly (within minutes of the phone call to housekeeping).

The staff at the check-in desk, shop and foodcourt were very helpful, and we would definitely stay there again.

Our first experience of a Disney resort was ASMo in 1999 and we loved it so much that we went back twice, in 2002 and 2005! We love the giant in-your-face movie characters such as Pongo and Perdita, Toy Story characters and the Love Bug, etc. We stayed in the Mighty Ducks blocks twice and once in the Dalmations section. The Mighty Ducks blocks have the advantage of a smaller, quieter pool by the laundry area and we never used the larger pool, despite its fab theming. It's quite compact so you're never too far from the food court and the shop, etc and the buses pickup and drop off right outside the front, just past the shop. The buses could be busy at times but we never felt it was a problem, despite it being quite far away from the MK. The food court offers a range of foods including a meat and two veg option, so there's no need to eat fast food all of the time. The rooms are basic, as you'd expect from a value resort, but plenty big enough for a base for visiting the parks from. Mousekeeping was generally excellent and we enjoyed the towel animals left for us and the arrangements they'd make with our cuddlies - it was almost exciting to open the door and see what they'd done! I can't recommend it highly enough it you want complete immersion in Disney. Thumbs-up from us!

Great hotel on the Disney property. Within easy reach of all things Mickey. Brilliant if you do not want to drive as Disney transport is great. the hotel rooms are themed and are spacious, as hotel rooms go. on site facilities are good if you are not going to be at the parks 24/7. i would highly recommend.

All Star Movies is my favourite of the All Star hotels because of its strong Disney branding. The kids love the film settings of 101 Dalmations, Toy Story and Fantasia and although the rooms are sparse they are adequate for a family who will only be sleeping in thems needs. The whole place is immaculately clean and all the staff are very firendly. The food is very limited and tends to be on the greasy side of greasy but other than that All Star Movies for me is the best of the value hotels. It is a bit far from the Parks though and is the last stop on the bus journey!

Like others have said the rooms are pretty basic as is the food court but it still manages to cater for most tastes. We loved staying here, the pools were brilliant, the rooms were decorated to make you feel still in the magic and it was lovely having a disney shop at hand. This is a great option for staying onsite (espcially with all the great benefits you get for staying in a disney hotel) but still reaasonably priced.

stayed here when i think grad nights were going on so it got a bit noisey at night but nothing too bad i suppose, check in was quick and luggage was took to our rooms for us with no problems. rooms were nice but nothing you couldnt find off site. maids were nice and friendly, pools were nice and never seemed too busy, food court was nice and had lovely but as we were there for 2 weeks we wanted the menu to change a little just for a variation but i suppose they are guessing most guests would be eating in the parks most days. i def reccommend getting the refillable cups we def got our moneys worth from them.
i would definatly recommend others to go here and will be returning again at some point if only to see the 3 storey buzz and woody!

Yes the rooms are small and reasonably basic and the theming is fantastic, but above all what really stood out in this hotel was the atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and the pools were being used past midnight every night while adults chilled out, and cooled down, around the pool.

Although it was ten years ago I stayed here with my parents, it was an amazing hotel and great for me even though I was a stroppy teenager at the time. Everything bright and great channels in the TV watched a few films at night time. Even got a refillable jug for the pop. This saved my parents loads of money. Only down side was my dad's snoring which made me have to sleep in the bath tub a few nights for a bit of peace and quiet :)

We really liked this resort. The all-stars are the most disney-fied of the resorts and prfect for children and families on a budget. The room was a good size (and after all, you are only sleeping there so size doesnt matter) and everything was in good shape and working well.
The safe could have done with being a bit bigger though..but thats the same in all the disney resorts.
The resort is energetic, bright and full of fun with a great gift shop and food court with a great variety of food and drinks. Themed pool was great too - albeit a little crowded.
The bus service is excellent here - the best we have experienced on property. Very efficient.
Could not reccommend this resort more... definately stay here again!

The Disney All-Star Movies was my first experience of staying on property previously Id stayed on International Drive. The decision to stay on property was driven by the fact that this would be my first trip with my chauffeurs (aka Mum and Dad). This time it was just me and my ex-GF.

Being big Ice Hockey fans we requested the Might Ducks block which had the bonus of its own themed pool! The block is located the far right of the resort but only about 2 minute stroll from the main hub. On days where we where feeling the strain of long days at the parks it made sense for us to get off the Disney Transport at the All Star Music and carefully cross the Service entrance to our block at the Movies.

The rooms themselves offer as much as Id experienced at the Quality Inn Hotels on I Drive but everything seemed much cleaner at Disney compared to I Drive. The room layout is very similar to the Quality Inn rooms. The Mouse Keeping staff where also very friendly and very approachable. You get sufficient storage space and cupboard, and table and chairs if you want to eat in the room and a TV with lots of channels (if you travel 4000+ miles just to watch TV). that being said this was also when I discovered the joys of Resort TV!

The resort was very busy to the extent that the Fantasia pool was just too busy to go and relax. The Mighty Ducks pool was very sedate and never too crowded. The main hub was also very busy with people coming and going at all hours of the day and night. There was gift shop which sold most of the items they sell around WDW, this is where you go to pick up any purchases from the parks that you have sent back to your resort (or it was back in Aug/Sep 2001).

The counter service restaurant reminded me of Electric Umbrella or Cosmic Rays with perhaps a little more choice. Again it was very crowded and on the odd occasions at peak times it was better to take food back to the room. If you have a car there is also a McDonalds drive thru near by which give Disney a run for its money on razzmatazz.

The resort is located near to Blizzard Beach, DHS and not too far from Animal Kingdom. Contrary to what Ive heard on some other podcasts I had no issues with Disney Transport other than the fact its the last drop off for the All Stars.

Overall a good experience and a good introduction into staying on property. It was marginally more expensive than the Quality Inns but if youve ever stayed on property you know that you cannot put a price on feeling that Disney Magic 24/7. Since 2001 the chargeable e-Ride nights has morphed into Free Extra Magic Hours. This is where the park is open to Resort guests only (I once had Main Street USA to myself for 5 minutes). A combination of this perk, Disney Resort Transportation and if youre lucky a free Disney Dining Plan give this resort the edge over my experiences of International Drive. Not to mention as they say being in the middle of the Disney Magic!
