Excited about Disney

We stayed here in November 2018 for my 30th Birthday trip. Having only previously stayed in smaller moderate resorts, I was a little apprehensive about the quality and size of an All Start Resort.

That being said we had an absolute blast!

We had a preferred room in the Toy Story section, the giant Wood and Buzzy figures gave me goosebumps! It was a 2-3 minute walk from the main foodcourt and the main pool was right across from this along with the bar and little hub for watching movies.

The food court was fantastic, I loved having so many counters to choose from and the grab and go selection was huge! We enjoyed grabbing a beer from the fridge to chill with in our room after a long day :)

Our room was newly refurbished and super clean and a great size, we also didn't find the resort too busy at this time of year and we found November a great month in general with queues being the shortest we'd ever experienced!

The only downside I would say (but not a major one) was that our bus stops were always the furthest away and we could see buses for other resorts come and go much more frequently from the likes of Disney Springs at the end of the night.

I would 100% stay here again and it's fantastic for a cheap(er) and cheerful trip and the resort has a great Disney feel!

Stayed here for a week in October 2017. We opted for a preferred room which placed us right by the pool and food court.

Our 2 year old son loved the themeing of this resort.

Overall the room was a good size and met our needs for the week, only problem was that the toilet was very noisy and the fan took a long time to shut off which was difficult at night.

Food court is excellent at Movies with loads of choice.

Overall would recommend this hotel if you are on a budget.

This was my second time staying here for a couple of nights before getting access to our villa. I chose this hotel for its relaxed atmosphere for the kids, large pool and the oversized Disney characters and movie theme. We only used the food court for breakfast and mostly just ate cereals and fruit but we did on one occasion get mickey waffles and bacon etc and it was ok. The on site refillable mugs are always a good purchase (around $12.99 if I remember correctly) Movies by the pool at night and a good wee play area too for toddlers and younger children. Good toddlers pool splash area as well.

Fun hotel that kids will love with all the theming and in my opinion after staying at all the value resorts, the best of the bunch. Would stay again.

We decided to stay at this hotel because when we stayed in the all star music in 2009 we walked over to movies and thought that it was a bit better. We had big groups of school kids in the music hotel and someone told us that they didnt et put into the movies hotel which was why we chose to stay there. Well lol, it was absoloutley swamped with school girls from argentina. Very very noisy, no manners whatso ever. If you didnt have a seat in the food hall when they walked in , it was a mad free for all. We took to eating out most days because of this.
The hotel itself was always very clean..no problems there.
The food was average, but adequate. We made good use of the refillable mugs while we were there.
The transportation was ok most days, but because some of the buses picked up at sports and music before us they were already full when they got to us. So we had to wait longer.
Our housekeeper didnt replenish the toilet roll at all which was not good as my DH had to keep going to the front desk for more. She kept leaving more and more soap and shampoo though which we didnt use as we take our own toiletries. by the end of the fortnight we had 19 soap and shampoos !
Also ... a very bad point was ... we went out early one morning and when we returned at around 8pm we found our room door was left open by the house keeper. It wasnt just unlocked it was actually open. Our room was in the dalmatian block , ground floor so lots of people had walked past it all day. Luckily we always take all our passports and money out with us and nothing was missing . I did complain to the front desk and told them it had better not happen again. They assured me it wouldnt but we did feel uncomfortable the next few days.
Personally although it was clean and the food ok, i would not stay there again. The hoardes of schoolkids spoilt things a bit. And needless to say the housekeeper didnt get a tip.xx

We stayed at this resort for 4 nights in August of last year. I loved the theming which is great for kids but found it too motel like for my liking. The food court was good but very expensive. The shop was great and I spent too much money!
Unlike other recent reviews, we didn't have a problem with the cleanliness at all. Maid service was very good, she even decorated our window space. I did leave a daily tip for her which may have made a difference. We didn't use the transport as we preferred to use the car rather than wait for buses so I can't comment on that. I did use the laundry which was fine and I could sit out by the pool while it was finishing off.

We stayed in All Star Movies for our first visit to WDW and we were not disappointed at all. My kids (5 and 8) loved the themed hotel and had such fun exploring each area. The pool was great for relaxing in after being out all day. Great choice of food in the food court. Honestly I cannot fault this hotel! I know it is considered budget but it has everything a young family needs and it is spotlessly clean.

We love this hotel as it's just typical Disney. Everythings colourful and bright and the staff are really friendly too.

Check in only took 5 mins and we were given a room in the Mighty Ducks building (room 2828). We requested this building as it has it's own pool which is quieter than the main pool. Swimming pool is open till 11.30pm and it's heated.

Although the rooms are quite small with not a lot of storage space we found it adequate for our needs. Rooms are cleaned daily and the maids are very friendly.

The food court here has lots to choose from. I think there is about 5 or 6 different counters selling different kinds of food. It is all counter style meals. We found the food court to be very busy at meal times but there are plenty of tables for everyone.

The Disney gift shop in this resort is brilliant too with loads to choose from.

My DH and I stayed in the Disney All Star Movies in June for his first Disney holiday and found it to be a great hotel!
We arrived after a problematic flight (delays etc) and the staff checked us in with minnimal fuss and sorted out our park passes for us.
They also give you a little pack with some information in it about resturant opening time and improtant phone numbers ect.

We were staying in the Mighty Duck part of the resort, that part of the resort is further away from the main hall and pool but it has a pool of its own wich was generaly less crowded and it was next to the Disney All Star Music resort main hall so we could pick wich one we ate in.

The first couple of days we only used disney transport wich was great the longest we waited was about 20 minuets.
And as we were close to the music resort we got could get off at either stop.
after the first couple of days it was so hot we drove to the park in the morning spent the morning there and got the bus back to the hotel for a lunch, kip and a swim and then got the bus back for some more disney fun/ dinner and the fireworks and then we drove home so we didnt have to wait for the buses when every one was coming out of the parks.

The Dinner had a great choice of food!
Breakfast could include toast, cerial, fruit cooked breakfast pancakes etc.
Lunch and Dinner they served roughly the same but the choice was much more than i expected.
salad, pasta , pizza , chips, chicken, fish.
there really was something for everyone! definatly try a steak ceaser salad it was brillliant.

I deffinatly recomend getting the refillable mugs. we took it in turns to get up 5 minuets early in the morning to go and get some coffee and then during the day we would fill it up about 11 times.
deffinatly good value for money.

The rooms were cleaned every day, and we asked for extra pillows and towels wich they provided within 20 minuets of us calling. they also gave us extra towels when they replaced them so we didnt have to ask again.
The cleaner even left us little towel animals even though we were only two adults staying.

I deffinatly recomend this hotel to all!
Especially those that are on a budget (like me) that dont want to miss out on the Disney fun!

Hope this helps.

We stayed here for four nights and I have to say if you want "Disney immersion" this is an excellent resort. Perfect if you have little kids. We stayed in Dalmation block and my kids adored it. It's not the height of luxury. The room are like a travelodge room really in bright colours. Having said that they are absolutely spotless inside. The food court is good for snacks. For the price I couldn't fault this resort.

Mainly tailored towards children this resort is fun, vibrant and has a wonderful atmosphere!
We have stayed here the most times during our on-site visits and never had a bad holiday or trouble with service, rooms or location.
Having been located in the "Might Ducks" area several times we enjoyed having the quick access to the All Star Sports dining hall and facilities - sometimes catching buses from there instead!
The pools are lovely and clean and we found the smaller ones to be rather quiet, all in all some wonderful times have been had here and despite us all being adults during our stays here we LOVED IT!
You can't put a price on memories and great service was had each time :)
Definately would return here!

We booked quite last minute to stay here for a week for our honeymoon.

Obviously, this is a basic hotel but it was lovely and clean and plenty big enough for the two of us. The theming is great and the pool areas were lovely. We even found the bus service fine.

Unfortunately, we didn't realise at the time that we have been upgraded to a preferred room (closer to everything) so never got to thank anyone.

Would happily stay here again, even with now having 2 little ones.

This was our first experience of a Disney hotel. There were 3 adults and 1 child, so we booked two connecting rooms. We were in the Love Bug section and found it fantastic. The rooms were clean and had plenty of hanging space for clothes and drawers to store everything. The shower was powerful and always had hot water, no matter what time of day it was. The room had internet access which was really handy for uploading all the pics and was $9.99 form 24 hours. We found the room big enough for 2 but would be small for a larger family. The beds were very comfy and air conditioning was easily adjusted to the best temperature. TV has useful information about parks, dining, shopping etc as well as plenty of disney choices. Overall we found it great and would be happy to go back here on our next visit.

We stayed at All Star Movies during the Free Dining Plan, which we had took advantage of. Our first impressions were great, and was greeted by a very friendly CM at the Check In desk.

We were a party of 2 adults and 2 young children. The room size was perfect for us and did not find it too cramped. Everything was clean and tidy and the maid service was good most of the time.

The kids loved the theming of this hotel, and we spent many mornings walking the different areas. The food court had a great selection & we ate here quite a few times to use up our CS credits.

Just one point though, if you ever head back in the afternoon for a rest make sure you put the catch lock on the door. I had chronic back pain so left epcot early and soaked in the bath. DH popped out for some lunch and left the kids watching tv. Next thing Maid Service came in (to use the phone i think), which startled me, i jumped out the bath covered up with a tiny towel. The poor lady neally died from shock i think. I found it more funny than anything.

We stayed for a week for our honeymoon. (left the kids at home with my parents). This was our second time at this hotel and this time we stayed in Mighty Ducks Building. We were given badges to wear for the duration of our stay stating we were on honeymoon this got us a few perks. We got to ride Splash Mountain alone twice and Maelstrom once on our own. We got a small cupcake, certificate and sprinkles on our table at Crystal Palace. We returned to our room one day and we had been left a signed card from Mickey & Minnie and a Balloon. All I can say is if we chose to come back to this hotel for our Honeymoon it must be good.

This hotel is full of Disney charm and colour. I found it a bit over-stimulating after being in the parks all day.
The bus service however was awful, especially coming home from the parks. Overcrowded and 1 bus often serviced all 3 All Star Resorts.

If you're going to stay at a value I would consider the Pop Century as it has it's own dedicated bus service! - as this hotel only has 2,880 rooms compared to the All Star's collective 5,444

Stayed here twice, then they put the price up so we decided to upgrade to a moderate resort. Both times in the Mighty ducks area, facing the car parks which we found nice and quiet.

Our room was closer to the Music food court (which was handy for drinks), but we preferred the Movies one, and it was only a 5 min walk away.

Also, the Movies was the last pick up on the bus route, so was easier to go the the closer Music bus stop.

We stayed at All Star Movies on our very first trip to Orlando and was not really sure what to expect from a value resort, but we loved it! We were in Fantasia section opposite the pool and the rooms was very clean and the CM were all very nice. We found that the food court could get very busy so we tended to pick the food up and take back to the room.

Wit the buses it was very hit and miss as to how long you had to wait as they share with the other All star resorts and the Movies is the last one.

We stayed in Nov 2005 and are going back Nov 2007 because we love the hotel so much. Yes the rooms are smaller than most places we have stayed but it was fine for us a family of 4. Its only really a base as we were at the parks most of the day. The children loved the dinsney channels in the room and also the information about the parks on the TV. The food court was good and gave us all plenty of choice. We stayed in the Buzz building which was cloest to the food court and buses. Oh and as for buses we used them all the time and had no problems. Can't wait to go back.

We have stayed at The All Star Movies six times between 2000 and 2005 and found the resort to be excellent value.
We have stayed in most blocks with no issues. The rooms are basic but adequate, which is what you wopuld expect from a value resort. The rooms are decorated by themes and are excellent for the youngers ones.
The pool atmosphere was quite nice and everyone was friendly. The hotel staff were fantastic and couldn't do enough to please us.

All in all, this hotel is very clean and has a very family friendly atmosphere, the staff were well mannered and friendly-couldn't do enough to please. We thought this hotel catered perfectly for children. It is situated very close to the parks, just a short bus ride away.

For a value hotel it is excellent .. But be warned that during july the hotel gets overrun with Tour parties of young 16 year old girls mainly from Brazil. Try to avoid this time if you can as it can be annoying when trying to get the transportation.

Loved this hotel. Would definitely recommend it to families, and not just families with young children. Our DS (then aged 13) loved it as well. The rooms are really well themed. We stayed in Mighty Ducks and had a really quiet room. We did have a plumbing problem with the toilet, but this was attended to very promptly (within minutes of the phone call to housekeeping).

The staff at the check-in desk, shop and foodcourt were very helpful, and we would definitely stay there again.

All Star Movies is my favourite of the All Star hotels because of its strong Disney branding. The kids love the film settings of 101 Dalmations, Toy Story and Fantasia and although the rooms are sparse they are adequate for a family who will only be sleeping in thems needs. The whole place is immaculately clean and all the staff are very firendly. The food is very limited and tends to be on the greasy side of greasy but other than that All Star Movies for me is the best of the value hotels. It is a bit far from the Parks though and is the last stop on the bus journey!

Like others have said the rooms are pretty basic as is the food court but it still manages to cater for most tastes. We loved staying here, the pools were brilliant, the rooms were decorated to make you feel still in the magic and it was lovely having a disney shop at hand. This is a great option for staying onsite (espcially with all the great benefits you get for staying in a disney hotel) but still reaasonably priced.

stayed here when i think grad nights were going on so it got a bit noisey at night but nothing too bad i suppose, check in was quick and luggage was took to our rooms for us with no problems. rooms were nice but nothing you couldnt find off site. maids were nice and friendly, pools were nice and never seemed too busy, food court was nice and had lovely but as we were there for 2 weeks we wanted the menu to change a little just for a variation but i suppose they are guessing most guests would be eating in the parks most days. i def reccommend getting the refillable cups we def got our moneys worth from them.
i would definatly recommend others to go here and will be returning again at some point if only to see the 3 storey buzz and woody!

Although it was ten years ago I stayed here with my parents, it was an amazing hotel and great for me even though I was a stroppy teenager at the time. Everything bright and great channels in the TV watched a few films at night time. Even got a refillable jug for the pop. This saved my parents loads of money. Only down side was my dad's snoring which made me have to sleep in the bath tub a few nights for a bit of peace and quiet :)

We really liked this resort. The all-stars are the most disney-fied of the resorts and prfect for children and families on a budget. The room was a good size (and after all, you are only sleeping there so size doesnt matter) and everything was in good shape and working well.
The safe could have done with being a bit bigger though..but thats the same in all the disney resorts.
The resort is energetic, bright and full of fun with a great gift shop and food court with a great variety of food and drinks. Themed pool was great too - albeit a little crowded.
The bus service is excellent here - the best we have experienced on property. Very efficient.
Could not reccommend this resort more... definately stay here again!
