Excited about Disney
|
Have stayed at the Caribe Royale three years in a row with my family (2 adults 3 kids) staying two weeks each visit 2010.2011 & 2012. I have stayed in Towers 1, 2 and 3. The hotel is great, the pool and surrounding landscaping is fantastic with the waterfalls. The waterslide and hot tubs are nice. The suites are a good comfortable size with living space as well as a bedroom. Well positoned in LBV for everything Disney,Sea World, internaional Drive, I4 and 417 to universal, kennedy and the airports. Will definately stay here again when next in Orlando, wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. Also use the hotel reliable shuttles to Disney and Downtown Disney a few times despite having a car with us and they are always reliable. |

The hotel has recently completed a full renovation of all guest rooms. We stayed for 5 nights 31st May - 5th June in a King Deluxe room. There was a massive amount of storage space/drawers in the room, a double closet, large lcd tv's in bedroom and living room. There is also a coffee maker (supplies provided daily), microwave and a decent sized fridge, similar to an under-counter larder fridge you might find in the UK. The sofa in the lounge converts into sofa-bed. There are 3 towers of suites, plus the villas which are in seperate buildings. There is a guest laundry located on the 3rd, 6th and 9th floors. The one I visited had 3 washers and 3 dryers, costing $1.25 per wash or dry cycle. The machines are very quick! Detergent is available in a vending machine, or the gift shop in the lobby has supplies available also.
The pool is in the center and has lots of loungers available, towels are provided pool-side and it's an easy and quick walk to the main building, where all the restaurants are. Plenty of parking available and no charges for parking either.
The hotel never felt crowded or busy (even though it was fairly busy) and we really weren't disturbed. We sometimes head people walking down the corridor but only if they were talking loudly. You wouldn't be disturbed by this in the bedroom but would probably be aware of it if you were in the lounge.
Housekeeping was great also.
Great hotel, would most certainly stay here again. |

Carribe Royale is a Suite hotel and the 1 bed rooms are like standard hotel rooms with 2 queensize beds, TV etc., There is a separate lounge which has a double sofa bed another chair, a table and 2 chairs and a "wet bar" - it took me ages to realise this is a counter top with a sink ;) There is also a small fridge and a small microwave plus another TV.
The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The swimming pool is fantastic, it's very large and only gets a bit crowded at the bottom of the 75ft slide. There is always a life guard on duty when the slide is open and the kids are supervised while using it. There is also a separate kiddy pool and playground which would be ideal for younger children.
There are plenty of dining choices with a deli which does continental breakfasts - lunches and dinners (like hot chicken pizza's etc.,) to take back to your room. There is also a sit down restaurant which offers a buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. Finally there is a signature restaurant for more up market meals where a jacket (for the men) is required. There is a small gift shop which stocks snacks and a poolside bar which does lunch as well as drinks.
This hotel has a conference center but still manages to retain a family feel. If you are looking for a hotel which has a bit extra room then it is a good choice but there are better value options. |
