I stayed here in July 2010 for 5 nights. Really loved it, thought it was a great location. It was opposite wet and wild, so really handy to get to there. It was also walking distance to universal (took us about 20-25 mins I think). It's walking distance to both of the trolley routes which is really handy, and also there's a Lynx stop not too far away where universal boulevard and international drive meet.
there was a small snack bar/cafe and also a bigger restaurant/bar. You could get breakfast there each morning (typical american buffet - selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, toast, sausages, egg) and chose from the menu in the evening. There was a walgreen less than 10 mins walk away and we went there to get things like drinks to put into the fridge. There was also a reliable wifi service in the lobby area/restaurant which was great for catching up with emails/facebook!
Room was nice and spacious, air con worked well, clean. Didn't use the pool facilities, but I believe there was a reasonable sized pool, and possibly a gym? but don't quote me on that! |

This hotel is now called The Best Western Orlando Gateway. I originaly chose it beause it had smoking rooms which helped my dad out and was very inexpensive, around £25 a night. On arrival we also found it to be safe, clean and comfortable which was all we expected at such a low rate so we were well satisfied. The pool and jacuzzi area were well cared for though unexciting. The restaurant sharky and jacks was so so for both quality and value. We liked the position on Universal Boulevard in easy walking distance of International Drive, bars and restaurants etc but a little quieter. It was possible to walk to Universal Studios in around 20 mins which we did a couple of times. We used the iride trolley to get to Pointe Orlando and Prime Outlets easily and cheaply. |

Stayed here 07, staying again in 08.
A great value for money hotel. Very clean and friendly. Lively bar area perfect for families with young kids, as you don't have to be out all night to still have a good time. Walking distance of i-drive, right by wet and wild. Although be aware it is about a 5 min walk to the gates as your at the side not front.
Free internet, 2 sink areas came in really handy. We are sticking to what we know and will be staying here for our next few trips for sure. |

We stayed here and no problems with the staff or hotel, very clean and ideal location for Wet and Wild and Universal Studios. We used to walk it to Universal even though we had a car. Would recomend it for a family of 3 but would be pushing it for family of 4. |

We stayed here in January 2006, although as other people have noted it is not in the same league as the likes of the Hard Rock or the Royal Pacific Resort, it is most definitely a value for money hotel. Having stayed in many hotels over our 8 or 9 trips to Orlando we found this one probably the most friendly as far as staff were concerned. One of the things that appealed to us is its proximity to Universal Studios, we are coaster lovers so being so close to IOA is a bonus. Citywalk is only a short taxi ride away if you fancy a drink at night, something we took advantage of on a few occasions. Overall I would not hesitate to stay here again. |

We spent a week here in May this year found it to be very clean, good pool area the only problem being they did have lots of school parties, and the pool used to get full about 5 o'clock when they came back from the parks! But late morning and early afternoon this area was very quiet and peacefull. handy for Wet n Wild and you could walk to a few restaraunts |

Lovely hotel very close to universal, need a car as there's not much within walking distance, but the rooms were very nice and we would stay there again if we were visiting universal. |
