Hurricane Cancellations
 

As the theme parks prepare for the oncoming hurricane this weekend there have been a few schedule changes. I will continue to update this post with the latest changes.

• Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will remain closed Tuesday 12th September 2017.
• Busch Gardens will remain closed on Tuesday 12th September 2017.
• Mandatory curfew for the DisneyWorld area will be in effect from 7pm Sunday 10th September 2017 through until 6pm Monday 11th September 2017.
• Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney Springs are closing at 9pm Saturday 9th September and will reopen on Tuesday 12th September.
• Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are closing at 7pm Saturday 9th September and will reopen on Tuesday 12th September.
• Typhoon Lagon will close at 5pm on Saturday 9th September and will reopen on Tuesday 12th September.
• Tampa Airport will cease commercial operations at 8pm Saturday 9th September.
• Universal Orlando Resort will be closing at 7pm on Saturday 9th September and is expected to reopen as normal on Tuesday 12th September.
• LEGOLAND Florida Theme Park and Water Park will be closed Saturday, 9th September through Monday 11th September.
• Disney Springs Virgin Check In location will be closed from Saturday 9th September to Tuesday 12th September.
• The Orlando Eye will be closed from Saturday 9th September until after the storm has passed.
• SeaWorld Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay are currently planning to close by 5 pm on Saturday 9th September pending further updates as they monitor the storm. Both parks will remain closed on Sunday 10th September and Monday 11th September.
• Aquatica Orlando and Adventure Island will be closed on Saturday 9th September through Monday 11th September.
• Discovery Cove will be closed on Sunday 10th September and Monday 11th September.
• Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be closed Friday 8th September reopening Wednesday 13th September.
• Orlando International Airport has announced it will cease commercial airline operations at 5 p.m. Saturday 9th September.
• Sanford International Airport has announced it will expect to cease commercial airline operations at 5:15 p.m. Saturday 9th September.
• Fort Wilderness Campground will be closed starting Saturday afternoon
• Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ will be cancelled on Saturday 9th September, Sunday 10th September, and Monday 11th September.
• The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort has been cancelled for Saturday 9th September.
• Universal Orlando have cancelled Rock the Universe Saturday and cancelled Sunday morning worship. Friday night will go ahead as planned.
• Disney have cancelled Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party for the Sunday 10th September at the Magic Kingdom.
• Disney have cancelled the Night of Joy for Saturday 9th September at ESPN Wide World of Sports. The scheduled 8th September event is still going ahead as planned.
• The 8th September and 11th September sailings of the Disney Dream have been cancelled.
• The 9th September sailing of the Disney Fantasy has been cancelled.
• Disney's Vero Beach Resort will close at 2pm Friday 8th September.
• Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort will close at 10am Saturday 9th September.
• Characters in Flight at Disney Springs is Closed until 30th September.
• Disney has closed Blizzard Beach Friday 8th and will reopen Tuesday 12th September.

Does anyone know why Blizzard Beach is closing but not Typhoon Lagoon?

I am just guessing but there is construction work and tree felling going on there. So more to secure with high winds forecast.
