Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party - Halloween night?

We arrive on 26th October for 21 nights. We are planning on going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party (and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in November!)

Given we are in Disney on Halloween night I had assumed we would go to the party on 31st October.

It's a head over heart moment for me. I understand the cost and and crowd levels are highest on 31st October and from that perspective it makes sense to go another night that is cheaper and less busy. However, it would also be nice to know you had been at the party with the kids on Halloween night itself.

Has anyone else given any thought to this? Are there lots of other activities elsewhere in WDW on Halloween night that would be worth doing?

Any thoughts on this would be good and any other advice or feedback on the party etc. would be welcomed.

We have done mnsshp a few times now ,family all dressed up great fun and never been on 31st but still we felt it was well worth the money..last time on Halloween were staying in a villa. We all went trick or treating around the complex,it was amazing great fun and all people were very welcoming the kids want to do that again next time 🥰

We always go on the 31st if we can, including this year. Sure it's busier but there are more people dressed up which makes the atmosphere better IMHO.

It's definitely a bit of an emotional decision rather than logical ;-) since another date would be less busy but still, we enjoy it

The headline here didn't set me up for the conclusion! dads-blog.dadsguidetowdw.com/mickeys-not-so-scary-halloween-party-sold-out-arrrgh

Looks like we will do the 31st after all! We have 3 kids, one of them is 3... so what's that rule again... 3 and under, up to 3, 3 and above :-)

Someone suggested celebration on Halloween itself. There is a party on 1 November so you can have 2 nights of fun
