Thomas Cook plane swap and now not premium
Hi all
Do we’re flying back today and we’ve just been advised that there has been a change with the plane and the new one doesn’t have the same premium allocation. Looks like we’ll be economy on the way back which is a shame but just wondering if this is happened to anyone else and what did Thomas Cook refund. I’m assuming it will just be a refund for the one way of premium costs? |

Is a downgrade from premium treated as a change in class ? I thought the keyword was economy not premium but I may be wrong.

OP. Oh goodie a nice claim coming on. You are entitled to 75% of your return ticket cost. Not the difference between Econ and PE.
However TC and Tui both fight to the bitter end so be prepared for a Civil Court Case where you will win. If they send you a cheque or make an offer of the difference in Econ to PE do not accept it. |
So home after a long flight. Interesting to read the caa guidance and it does look like a claim could be worth following up. Has anyone on here successfully made a claim on the same basis?
|
OP. Quite a few have. Easy to do as well.

They gave us a letter which I’ll dig out but basically said the plane had been switched to avoid a long delay and the new plane didn’t have as big a premium section.
We had no notification before and only found out at check in. |
Do a search on here for Papamouse, he is very knowledgeable on this very subject having been through it with Thomas Cook before.
He did a few threads on it at the time. xx |
I wrote to the ceo direct of Thomas cook he got his assistance on it straight away and had money in my account within about a week I think we received nearly 600 pound that was nearly 2 years ago
