Dinner jackets Men DCL - Formal Night?

Quick question, do Men really need dinner jackets on formal night on DCL? Would a smart shirt, trousers and smart shoes do? I like to get dressed smart but I don’t want to go OTT just for dinner on a cruise. I’m not into getting dressed like you at a wedding on my holidays.

We have previously done RC and even on formal night it wasn’t dinner jackets.

I would say no. I’ve been on several DCL cruises and think I’ve only seen two or three families dressed up to the nines - including small boys in DJs!

No. I agree we only saw 1 or 2 families on our previous DCL cruises and none in the staycations.

I'm genuinely not sure I've even worn trousers on any of our DCL cruises.

I can't remember doing so anyway.

You will see a complete mix but most people are just trousers and shirt from my experience. Its weird on the staycations as there is no formal night at all but again you get a full range.

This is good to know thanks.

So you can still get into the restaurants / won’t get turned away? (unless Remy and Palo I believe)

As above, I’m pretty sure I’ve only ever worn smart-ish shorts and I’ve not been turned away yet!

Attire has never been something I’ve worried about on DCL.

Disney only ask that for the main dining rooms you avoid swimwear, coverups and vests (men)
