Tickets on the Magic Band

We will be doing a 3 week trip this time.

We have MNSSHP and 14 day ultimate ticket on our Magic bands, we are going to the MNSSHP on the 29th Oct but don't want to activate the 14 day ultimate ticket until the 1st Nov, does anybody know how the system will know only to use the MNSSHP ticket and not activate the ultimate ticket? (we will be entering the MK after 4pm)

The other question is, if we don't have the ultimate ticket activated will any pictures taken in the park still be assigned to the magic band and be available once the ultimate ticket is used or are they lost?

It should only activate the MNSSHP portion but you could check at City Hall. No your MM is linked to the Ultimate so unless you activate that then no pics- We had this last year on an old Hopper+ that we used first, whilst we could obviously see all the pics taken they didn't form part of our MM & were only available to buy separately

Regarding the photos, I feared that might be the case, I'll probably pop into guest services at Disney Springs to see if there's anything they can do for us, something like an add on.
