theDIBB - Star Wars Half Marathon to Effect EPCOT 5-7 April 2019

This weekend Disney will be hosting the 2019 Star Wars Rival Run with thousands os runners and spectators descending on Walt Disney World.

Event schedule:

Friday, April 5: Star Wars 5K
Saturday, April 6: Star Wars 10K
Sunday, April 7: Star Wars Half Marathon

Note:
On Sunday 7th April EPCOT will open at 08:30 with Test Track and Soarin' open to guests. Friendship Boat transportation from Disney Hollywood Studios to EPCOT will be delayed until 10am, Bus service will run as normal. Guests wishing to cross the race course until 10am must use the crosswalks at The UK Pavillion, Pin central East or Future World Bridge.

On Sunday 7th April Disney Hollywood Studios the Friendship boat transportation will not start until 10am. The restrooms located near the Bus loop will be not be available until 9:30am. To cross the race course guests must use the crosswalk located at Hollywood Junction. The usual Extra Magic Hours have been moved from this Sunday to Friday 12 April.

There will be some road closures on Sunday 7th April

4:30am - 9 am. – Osceola Parkway Eastbound closed from Sherberth Road to World Drive.
5am - 8 am. – Western Way closed in both directions
