Being redirected to another site when browsing the Dibb on http

It seems that a when searching for the dibb and clicking the link to the home page, and when browsing to a non https dibb home page (http://www.thedibb.co.uk) by removing the S, I’m being redirected to a site called mplkserver.com and presented with a pop up message about winning a prize.

Is there something on the dibb site redirecting unsecure traffic?

Here’s a screenshot of it.

Hi,

I've just tested with a none secure version of the site by browsing to http://www.thedibb.co.uk, but it redirects me back to the secure site.

Try clearing your history and cookies and try again.

I would run an anti-virus and/or malware scan on your device as it looks like you've been infected with something. Usually this sort of thing can either be a dodgy advert on the website (unlikely) or something piggybacking on your browser.

I am getting the same on my phone when trying to search on the menu.

I have run a virus scanner and nothing is showing.

It’s on an iPad and iPhone, so no virus infection here.
Doesn’t seem to do it on the forum, seems only the main home page, and on http.

I have had this today as well on IPad . No virus detected. Cleared cookies seems to be ok now,

I’ve had the exact same thing happen, once on this site and on another site.
No idea why or what it is. I feel a bit better knowing there’s others and not something I’ve just clicked on. I’ve cleared all my history and what not. I have an iPhone.

iOS devices can still get viruses. Not very often, but it does happen (it's a common fallacy that they are safe from viruses - https://www.macworld.co.uk/feature/i...ruses-3655942/). That said, if a few people are getting the same thing it might be the website. Strange how you're all on iOS devices though.

My phone is Samsung and it is still popping up.

It will be one of the google adverts. We need to know what advert is on screen at the time to be able to block it.
