theDIBB - Two Countries and Eleven States - Day 10 Canada through the rain

28th October 2017

Wow day 10 this trip report is zooming along as quickly as our holiday did.

This will be a quick one. We were up at 7 to watch the sunrise and it was worth it!

Beautiful
Here’s a shot of the suite it was basically 2 rooms which was nice to have a bit more room for once.

Breakfast was included and the usual fare of hot and cold. It got busy very quickly and we weren’t able to get a window seat.
Knowing we had a long drive ahead of us we checked out in good time

We had to get a minibus to the car park where the car was stored and then we were off.
However due to lack of shopping we headed straight for the outlets at Niagara on the Lake.

More cycling! :)
We managed to get the usual deals on Vans of buy 1 get 1 half price. I got some and we bought a pair for eldest son both pairs we about $45 CD. Pair of trainers for him too. Don’t think we managed much else but it was nearly 12 before we got going again which was a mistake.
The weather was dreadful today it rained non stop and all we did was drive from Niagara to Cornwall. We had planned on stopping at Kingston to see the Thousand Islands but it was so miserable we just kept going.
We headed along the main roads so no scenery it was pretty miserable.

We eventually got to Cornwall to the Ramada inn and the guys headed to the pool for a quick swim whilst I wrote up my trip notes.
The hotel was busy with what appeared to be 2 or 3 families in a few rooms all having a Halloween party and trick or treating.
We had food at Rotisserie St Hubert just over the road which was all about the chicken and it was strange seeing bilingual menus and a lot of French being spoken in the restaurant.

Th food was fine a little strange though it seemed to be rice with everything and coleslaw refills as much as you wanted! :d:
Almost like a Denny’s style fairly basic but tasty enough
Afterwards the boys and I headed to the nearby Walmart for a happy hour wandering round o;our own with no nagging DH ;) he headed back to the hotel where he ended up drinking whisky and playing cards with the coaches (men) of the girls ice hockey team who were staying in the hotel. :spin:
Then it was back to bed for all of us.
