Sunday Brunch At The Rainbow Room, New York

This was arranged by our son and daughter as a 60th birthday surprise during our recent holiday in New York, all we had to do was turn up. It's on the 65th floor of the Rockefeller Centre and is accessed by a private lift on the 2nd floor. First we were shown into a bar/ viewing area, then into the gorgeous chandeliered restaurant by our server.
The whole experience from the welcome, service and friendliness of the staff, drinks, live jazz music, the atmosphere and of course, the wide ranging food selection (I didn't photograph every section) was amazing ... one of the highlights of our trip.
I'll let the photos speak for themselves ☺️.

Very lucky! I think it was made more special as we didn't know about it till a couple of days before. My son had to ring to book (they have a website), as its reservations only. Although we didn't pay this time, we will happily pay it if we go again because it's an experience.

Looks fab - do you mind me asking what you both wore to the Rainbow Room brunch?

I might like to book it but am worried about the dress code being too OTT.

This worried me a bit too, we didn't find out about it until about 36 hours before, and we actually flew home later in the day after it. The website says business casual, I wore smart Laura Ashley fitted trousers and a nice top; DH wore Ted Baker summer trousers and a good polo shirt. I had 1 dress with me which I'd worn for another meal but with having to pack and check out it was awkward. In the event, when we got there some people were dressed to the nines, some were quite casual and a lot in the middle so we didn't feel out of place at all. It was a bit like going to a Signature meal at Disney - people wore a bit of everything, I wouldn't let it put you off - go if you can.
