So how long have you been a dibber ?

Just looking and realised I’ve been here since 02 ! , so
19 years :omg:
Yep 19 years of a disney obession, and I belive prior to this we had a previous Disney group, before this one.

So how long have you been a dibber, and how did you find this group.?

Who are the original members ? , I remember Mike jones ? , cinders mum, poohs number one fan, and a lot more .

Name yourself lol

I'm a bit behind you, I joined in May 2004. I found the Dibb through buying the Brits Guide to Orlando book where it was referenced.
I'm still in touch on Facebook with Mike & Amanda and have met them twice, I remember Val (Cinders Mum), I almost met her but didn't realise she was in a Disney restaurant at the same time. Poohbears#1fan is still a regular poster on here 😊

Think I joined in 2013.
The Dibb popped up as a suggestion when I was looking for prices for theme park tickets.

I’m round about then as well and came on after searching for tips on Florida for our first trip

2010 I joined - before our first trip with the kids. The information I’ve found on here has been invaluable and, even though we still always book through our local travel agent, we are in many ways more knowledgeable on certain things than the girls who work there, and have passed on useful bits of info to them.

I’ve been a dibber since 2006, I was searching online about taking food abroad for my then 11 month old DS, he turns 16 in June, it doesn’t seem possible.
I don’t post much but am online most days, haven’t been to Disney since 2015, but still visited Orlando and other parts of America. I love the dibb and move around the sections that fit in with my life and where I am planning on going.
The dibb has saved me thousands and meant that I can travel more, from boomerang tickets to great deals on car hire, hotels and tickets. There’s always someone around with great advice which I’m thankful for.

2003 for me - 18 years - the comings and going’s, the rises and falls, the upgrades and additions.
It amuses me that we see very dominant voices that seem to take over for a couple of years and then they disappear... most long lasting members are the ‘steady Eddie’s’
I do miss some of the old voices ... but not others 😜

I joined in 2014 before our first trip with the boys.

I was reading a thread on another website (not a Disney one, a parenthood one!) and someone recommended this site as a good place to gain valuable knowledge about booking etc. I think I became hooked :mike:

Around 2009 for me as I found it when researching our first trip in 2010. I’m also not a prolific poster but am on most days (especially over the last year when i have plenty of time on my hands !). I’ve had some amazing tips from here - car hire, split stays and renting points. The most stand out is that we thought we were going to miss the Harry Potter opening at Universal as it was due for the date we left. Kids were really disappointed, but the Dibb taught me about ‘soft openings’ and we managed to do it all on about 3 occasions, including seeing some of the cast and DS being chosen in Olivanders.
