temo_gemo:
"Just after a bit of advice, looking to book this resort for August 2019 but wondering what the construction will be like at this point? Thanks "

(sorry didn't know how to quote something from the previous thread)

temo_gemo we are in a similar situation as we are also looking at this resort for August 2019 (although the size of it has always bothered me given that we won't have a car and there are a lot of bus stops). My impression is that the work will be complete way before then, but it isn't clear whether the Skyliner will be running by August 2019 since Disney haven't given a date yet. Watched Tim Tracker yesterday and Skyliner development looks well underway which gave me some hope. Seems like a gamble though - do I book CBR in the hope the Skyliner will be there, or go for a safer option like POR/POFQ? I am really unsure about what to do. POR and POFQ look lovely, but seem a bit more "grown up" compared to CBR and CSR. I always think the theming at the value resorts looks more fun for the kids, but have pretty much ruled them out due to location and we are hoping to get the QSDP offer with a moderate and upgrade to DDP.

Happy Easter CBRers past & present.
Was just thinking back to this time last year when all the comp posts were happening and Papa Mouse's letter.😂
Can't believe that was a year ago.
Was thinking of posting a few CBR tips on here today for future CBR'ers 😊

Would love some CBR tips. We are staying there in just over 2 weeks time. Never stayed there before. As we are just having a quick 6 night trip to do the Disney Star Wars run, play some golf and do the parks we have opted for no car this time! Hoping we don’t miss having it and that the Disney bus system is kind to us :)

Ok, a few CBR tips 😊

1) Breakfast
Breakfast is buffet in the food court tent and is 1 QS credit pp if you eat in.
Or you could go to the counter and get a 'To go' tub and fill it with croissants, Mickey waffles, pastries, cakes, whatever you like for 1 QS credit and share it with your family/travelling companions and save your QS credits for lunch/dinner.

If you think you'd want hot food as well as the pastries I'd recommend getting 2 takeaway tubs and filling one with hot food, one with cold. Unless you all particularly want to eat in the food tent for breakfast, the takeaway breakfast is such a good idea and you don't have to have it in your room if you don't want to, there are seating areas outside food tent and by pools.
Or take your tub to the parks with you to eat later..there's a bus stop behind(ish) the food tent.

As far as drinks go, at breakfast they have OJ, coffee, tea, water, fizzy drinks. I think there was another juice there too when we were there?

The food truck by the food tent also does breakfast items as does Island Markets, but IMO the takeaway QS buffet breakfast when shared is the most economical way to have breakfast onsite.

Any questions, please ask & if anyone has any other Breakfast tips, please add to thread.

I'll be back soon with other CBR tips.

😊

Reading this made me realise I too can now say I am going to CBR next month! Really looking forward to it. I have requested Jamaica buildings 41 and 42. We have a car so can pop to Pop or AoA for food if needs be. I'm sure we will also pop over to POR for their create your own pasta.

Thanks for the tips. Interesting that you can do ‘to go’ for the breakfast buffet. How big is the container? Might be useful for us to do this a couple of times.
