Typhoon lagoon tips please!

Hi guys, planning our first trip to typhoon lagoon this week. Just wondering if anyone has any good tips? DH will be off on all the water rides, I however, will be attempting to relax somewhere (I'm not much of a swimmer) is there a particular area of the park we would be best heading to? Thanks :)

It depends if you want noise or not? seclusion or not?

Do you have any kids?

We had people running for the few shady spots when we were there a few weeks ago
Reminded me of sunbed wars :erm:
If shade is important get there before opening
Take a cover up just in case as we saw a lot of sun burn

If you go in the wave pool swim as deep \ far in as you can. The deeper water you're in means less chance of the wave dragging you along the gritty texture of the floor. DH and DS both had skin loss grazes

Whenever I go there I don't use a sunbed, I spend the whole time in the water! The only time I'm not in the water is to have something to eat. Most of my time is spent drifting around the lazy river and I spend a fair bit of time just splashing around in the pools.

I would say go straight to Crush ‘n’ Gusher area as it’s always overlooked.

Another for the area by Crush 'n' Gusher, head straight there at opening & you should be able to get the shaded area no problem. Bag your spot then head for the lazy river & relax yourself to death.

It depends on the age of your group and what they are likely to do most during the day.

When our boys were young we used to go left after entering and try for the areas closer to the wave pool . Even at rope drop, there is generally a rush/stampede.

As they got older, then we went for the Crush n Gusher area for reasons already stated.
