DAS pass

Sorry if this question has been asked loads of time before. I understand you have to goto customer relations to get a pass, do you have to show any medical records to get this?
After we get the pass how does it work? Is it linked into a magic band of the person concerned.

Thanks in advance

No proof needed just explain the difficulty you have. The person the DAS is for has there photo taken and they scan everyone band.
To use DAS you go to the ride you want to ride and they will scan your band and give you a return time. You can then return anytime after the that time and enter through the Fast Pass line. You can get another return time after you have used the previous one, so it's best to uses FP as well.

Also when you go to get it, make sure you have the magic bands of the other people in your party. You only need the person who is getting the DAS to have their photo taken but you need all the bands in order to link them on to theirs.

Just in case, they only last 14 days before you need to request a new one. We're there for 3 weeks so will be doing it twice.

Has that changed recently mysteryjimbo...? We went for 3 weeks last August and only needed to do it once.

They definitely do with an annual pass at Disney. You probably just need to ask for three weeks as they might be automatically set for 2 weeks.

At Universal they are paper passes and are only for 2 weeks even with an annual pass.

As we have a need this pass for my grandson, we do not have magic bands as dont want them, we are just given another ticket which enables us to book a 'come back time' for rides. However, we have never been asked to have a photo taken of the individual the pass is for. My daughter goes in with her son's Consultants letter, we all wait outside as its too busy crowds in a small space for him, but has never been asked to provide proof/evidence. I believe this is because of discrimination laws. Last visit was 2017. Next visit 2020.
