theDIBB - Florida 2019 - it‘s here at last

Apologies in advance for not many photos today.

I'd booked the cottage for 7 nights as that was the only option on Airbnb. So although we were heading home in the evening we didn't have to be out by a certain time. We went for a walk to John's Pass as we had a couple of things we wanted to pick up. While we were there we saw a dolphin in the bay, but I just wasn't quick enough to get a photo.

We strolled back along the beach to the cottage. We were pretty much all packed. We had a wee sit out in the sun. We'd stripped the bed and just had showers to have and get ready. We eventually left at around 3.30pm. Just as well really as the Road was busy the closer we got to the airport.

We found a petrol station to fill up at and made our way to rental returns. Of course on checking the receipt we were charged for a tank of fuel, even though the girl had checked it and marked full on the receipt too! We had to go to the booth to get it sorted, which the jolly guy did in no time.

Then it was the tram to the terminal, luggage checked in and time for some food. We weren't overly hungry so decided on Wendy's over PF Chang or the Hard Rock. It was good enough and filled a hole.

Then through security which was relatively quick, even with one our bags being checked. The flight was uneventful, landing early at Gatwick.

Our next flight back to Glasgow was 11.35. We boarded on time and landed early. Steven was there to collect us and it was home to reality.
