VA changed our departure airport, what are the rules?

Hi - we had a booking MAN-LAS in August, on checking the booking yesterday we see that this has been changed to LHR-LAS (we knew that they were dropping the route so looked to see).

They haven’t actually informed us of this yet.

Firstly, we are not expecting to be able to travel but if we are, what are our options?

We hate Heathrow with a passion (only ever transferred through there but missed connections, it is so slow and chaotic) and it would incur costs of travel and/or overnight stays as well as time.

Are we entitled to a refund, if we can actually contact them?

As your original booking contract was MAN - LAS they must transport you between these two points.

You are legally entitled to request a re route starting (and finishing) in MAN or a full refund.

Great, thank you.
As I said, I don’t expect to be taking this flight but it’s good to know our rights.
Our return flight is unaffected as it was Seattle to MAN, using Delta to LAX first leg.

Yes your flight was cancelled, and you have been put on another flight so 7 day refund if you do desire it.
