What are these please ?
Two sets of quite heavy metal objects with serrated edges. I think they must have been in a set of drill bits I bought donkeys years ago. I’ve never used them and doubt I will, but I’d like to know what they are.
Thanks as always Linda x |
They are for making holes in wood or plasterboard. I use them for making holes in plasterboards to fit downlights in ceilings.
They could even be metal hole saws which are usually more expensive. |
Starret hole saws.

Starret are the best make, but expensive, I work for a company that does drylining so we use many holesaws.:zzz: |
Thanks, I can get rid as I won’t use them.

That's a nice set. Used by Carpenters for doing the pipe holes in the back of kitchen units etc.
Much better than the adjustable auger bit we used to use which was expensive and prone to breaking. |

They are cheap to buy, and Ericsmum's set isn't showing the centre pilot drill which would probably cost as much to buy as a new set (£14 including delivery). I tend to buy the same size ones for downlights (£3 or so each) so I have lots of various size hole saws you can have if you want? |
