Rocket Launches - what time of day?

There is a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket Launch planned for Monday 8th July.

If (and it's a big if) it goes ahead is it likely to be in the early hours of Monday eg 1am or late on Monday eg. 11pm?

The answer will make a big difference to my planning so any input really gratefully received.

the last 2 years we've been fortunate to have a launch attempt each time, and we've been sat on Cocoa beach just after dawn (May/June time) ... sadly both times they've been scrubbed minutes before liftoff, but to answer your question they've been both been in the morning ... but tbh they can be anytime depending on the window they have and the weather :) ... fingers crossed for you that you have better luck than we have :)

Will be in florida during this and will be very tempted to go see this, would Cocoa beach be the best place to see this from?

We watched a launch many years back and that was around 10.30 pm, we were in a local bar and a bar lady got a call from some one to say the launch was going ahead and at what time.

Thank you folks.

I have signed up for the email alerts as suggested.

Tel N Kel: Yes - that's the one. I had planned to go to the fireworks in MK on Sunday evening but if the launch could be at 1am on the Monday morning that won't work. I think it's best to do the fireworks another time just in case. The men in my family won't be happy if we miss a launch. ;)

The spacecoastlaunches is a great site and there's an associated app which drops notifications and you can watch live streams.

I'm hoping to be there on the 8th too. Fingers crossed.

There is one scheduled for August 17th when we are over and it is something I have always wanted to see. How far away from Cape Canaveral will you be able to see it?
