Galaxy’s Edge Coke bottles (the round ones)

I read earlier that you can’t take these on your flight.
Absolutely gutted, was hoping to take some home as souvenirs. I am sure plenty of others want to do the same.
Then someone mentioned on Instagram that you can pack them in your case... if the lid is off and it’s empty (of course).
Would be interested to know if anyone takes one home.
I totally understand it’s for our safety.

I think this is one of those things that’s going to get multiple answers
And boils down to do you want to take the risk or if the folks in front
Have them in there carry ions at security are you the person who post about=the horrific que having to take everything out your carry on bag etc etc
I personally can see the que at security in the way home at MCO being even more manic
Loads of posts o; social media about cases being opened stuff going astray etc
But after 25 years of US travel it boils down to if they guy looking at your bags is on the balll couldn’t care less or=a jobs worth that wants to give you;the full lecture
In the end it’s your choice but don’t winge if they don’t make it home

FYI there is a normal coke bottle lid under the plastic top, I'd just remove the very top piece

In all honesty it won’t show on x-ray

TSA say they're banned, lots of people have got them home both in carry on and checked cases. Not much more to be said on it really.

Officially, the TSA has confirmed that they classify these as "replica explosives" and have therefore banned them (yes, I know, it's crazy). However, people have brought them home with them in their suitcases without any issues.

This is going to turn into something similar to the whole "middle names on the ESTA" debate, isn't it? The official answer being one thing whereas what happens in practice being another.

Article about them being banned

TSA actually say they continue to review this and if you want to take them home they “could” be confiscated.
Lots of people have taken them with no problem

These are just plastic bottles, the top comes off leaving a standard top underneath.

SMAX brought these back without problem on our last visit

Personally I haven't heard of anyone actually being stopped and I think this is just another one of those things that Social Media latch on to and exaggerate, then the so called 'Journalists', sensationalise the story as they know it is good "Click Bait"

If anyone is worried, just empty the contents out (it's just normal coke/Sprite) and pull off the top, it's just an empty round plastic bottle then. Plus they are only $5 so not like losing a $200 lightsaber.

I really think this is a "Non-Story"
