San Fran hotels

Looking at a San Fran hotel for a family of 4 for 3 nights next April. Prices seem to be high so was looking for any recommendations on a family hotel that won’t break the bank!

Our plan is to trolley it from the airport so downtown or FW are our preferred locations. Last time I was there I stayed in a small boutique hotel on 5th but that was on my own.

We have booked the Columbus Motor Inn for our stay next month. It comes highly recommended on here and in a fab location not far from Fisherman's Wharf. It's not a fancy hotel by any means but as we needed a 2 room suite with teenagers this was by far the cheapest option

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately it appears to be fully booked on our March and April dates next year.

I’m just back stayed at the Sheraton, I got it on an offer but it is pricey. Think they all are in SF. Cow hollow inn or the Columbus motor inn look fine, when I go back I’d stay there to keep the price down!

We have also booked the Columbus motor in for next September as looking at our dates for this year the prices elsewhere were horrendous.

Can highly recommend this airbnb we stayed in a couple of years back, but don't know if your kids will want to share a sofa bed? We've only got the one child so it was perfect for us!

Airbnb might be worth a look though as we found it was around the same price as a hotel room but a lot nicer and more space.

Is that the Sheraton near FW? That is not as expensive as most on FW so looks an option

Yes it’s the one in FW.
We got it for $150 per night we stayed 4 nights. But I’ve seen it for near $300 per night which is crazy! It’s a lovely hotel the Zepher is lovely too but it’s always more expensive.

This was our room,

$150p/n is an excellent rate. Best I can get for 3 nights is nearer $200 on our dates.

I would say $200 is good too as sometimes it’s nearly the guts of $300 I’d pay the 200. It really is in the heart of FW we walked everywhere! We took the cable car up to Union Sq & walked back down to FW going through Chinatown & North beach.
