inline imageSeaWorld Orlando announced the Grand Opening of world-class attraction Infinity Falls will take place on 4 October at 12pm EST.

Infinity Falls features roaring rapids, soaking fountains and a record-setting 40-foot waterfall drop, all against the backdrop of a rainforest utopia. Guests will have the opportunity to take on the role of a conservationist on a journey through the rainforest and learn about the importance of freshwater conservation through interactive games and stories throughout the ride experience.

Mark Pauls, President of SeaWorld Orlando Parks, said: “From the excitement of the thrilling rapids to the unique vertical lift element, Infinity Falls is an adventure that appeals to the entire family.”

The opening of Infinity Falls is the perfect addition to SeaWorld’s ever-growing ride portfolio. From the roller coaster thrills of Mako, Manta and Kraken, to the water flume fun of Journey to Atlantis, Infinity Falls joins the park’s famed attractions as a must-do experience in Orlando.

Just watched someone' s video of the full ride, seems to strengthen the view that Sea World has some of the best rides in Orlando

It is very interesting to see how both Seaworld and Busch gardens are moving away from their traditional, animal based experience towards high grade, extreme thrill rides along the lines 6 flags, Thorpe park etc.

For me, it is in contrast to Disney who do not really have any such rides throughout their parks, but go more for a theming and character based experience. It is almost as they are seeking a rather different type of customer.

In our family it has always been a straight choice of Disney... or DC franchise plus Universal. I know for a fact that my boys of 16 and 12 would never in a million years trade in their DC Ultimate non Swim tickets for Disney Ultimates without even taking into account that they also get Universal 14s when we take the DC Ultimate option. It really is 'Horses for courses'.

We 3 adults went on this on Monday.
Felt packed in the seats like sardines, not very comfy, felt rushed, setting off before seat belts fastened. Didn't have to wait too long for ride. Apart from that enjoyed ride, good laugh but expect to get really soaked - no one escapes! Should have taken full change of clothes. :d:
