Day 1 is here. We were up early, travel to DC and then walk from one end of the Mall to the other taking the sights along the way and clocking up over 30,000 steps.

Day 2 is ready for you. Another day of taking in the sights, we head to the natural history museum in the morning and then walk around the Jefferson and FDR memorials, before heading over the river to Arlington Cemetery.

Day 3 is up. We spent the morning at the zoo, Kate's favourite animal is a panda and they have them there. Then we walked to Georgetown and saw lots of Halloween decorations and went on to Dupont Circle.

Day 4 is ready. This is the penultimate day where we did a guided tour of the Capitol building, then took the tunnel to the Library of Congress. We walked around the Botanic Gardens before having a midday break (with our Walmart haul to keep us going). In the evening we saw the memorials all lit up and ate the tastiest pizza I think I've ever eaten.

The final day is now ready for reading day 5. We see a little of the Marine Corps marathon before heading into the Air and Space museum and then the American Indian museum, before a final dinner and heading home.

Thanks to everyone who has read the report. I hope you enjoyed it.
