Day 16. West Coast again ;-) NASCAR racing Fontana, Victoria Gardens
Morning came around far too quickly and it was soon 7am.. Up showered and had breakfast and left for the race track.
Weatherwise it was a little strange today, When the sun came out it was hot, but chilly when it went in , joy of being up in the valley I guess.
First time we've been to a race here and its a really nice track with a lot for families to do etc. Had a wander around and saw a couple of the drivers near the kids area so Connor got some autographs.. One had his little girl Taylor with him , She was happily bouncing on the trampolines .. When she came off Chloe and I were talking to her for a little while.
Race began at 1 so we went to our seats about a hour before thankfully they weren't too high up :-) Sat to the left of me were 3 triplets all boys, probably aged 6/7 I thought they were very cute, Until they spent most of the race knocking 7 bells out of each other...:pgig:
After the race we went back to the hotel and got changed, it was definitely a evening for jeans !
Barry had wanted a Chick Fil A all holiday so knowing they would be closed the next day we went there.
Chloe and I wanted some Cheesecake and we'd seen there was a Cheesecake Factory in the area. Turns out it was in a upscale area called Victoria Gardens.. Lovely area with shops and restaurants, exactly the sort of place we liked.. Spent a good couple of hours wandering around and then got a few slices of Cheesecake to take out.
Got back to the hotel about 9,30 ate Cheesecake watched tv and bed
Steps 13464 / 6.96km
