Currency or Credit card in DLP?
Hi all,
We are driving to DLP in August for 3 days & I’m just wondering what you all do money wise for such a short break? We haven’t got plans to go to Europe for a good while after this mini-break, so don’t really want to be bringing euros home again - but equally is it easier to have some cash for snacks/drinks etc? We are a family of four (two teenage boys) & are staying onsite with no plans other than spending the whole time in the Disney bubble! Many thanks for any advice 👍 |
I generally take a mix of cash and card just in case. We got very caught out earlier this year when I thought I'd risk it and just take a card. Never again!
Just hold onto the euros as you're bound to be back at some point. |
We have a FairFx card with Euros which we have used before. We also now have a Halifax Clarity card so you can use that for any currency. Will probably take some cash too.

Always take cash but have my card as a back up.

I take about €100 cash for things like ice cream etc where they don't accept card, then I use my credit card, Post Office and Nationwide both have commission free cards
|
Are you staying onsite? If so we charge anything in the parks to our room key and pay the balance at the end of stay with a Halifax clarity credit card at the hotel.

i don't take any cash. Just a credit card which is charge free to use abroad. I also have my debit card & another credit card as back up.
Most ice cream places take cards. |
We take cash but pay for meals with card if we don’t have the free dining plan.

I’m wondering if I take enough cash for the last nights meal, and then if I need cash for something beforehand so be it, and if not, at least I can ‘use it up’ on the final night 👍 Thank you everyone for your replies, I really appreciate it 👍 |
