When are the new lands planned to be open.

Just wondering if any dates for the new lands that are being built at DLP realeased. I’m hoping it’s within the next couple of years. Any ideas?

It’s a phased build - I don’t think it will be finished until 2025. The first section is likely to be the Marvel Land likely to open 2020/2021.

Thanks. I hadn’t realised it would take that long.

No worries. Unfortunately Disney aren’t particularly quick when it comes to building new rides.

Are these to be extensions to Magic Kingdom ? First I've heard about them.

Ahhh right. Not been for years and they were talking about building extensions then.
How many different lands are they looking at ?

They are retheming the Backlot area to Marvel and adding brand new lands for Star Wars and Frozen.

If you google Walt Disney Studios expansaion you can see the concept art, it looks impressive! They are spending €2billion :)

I don't think they've even started yet, RnR is still open and I think that's first for retheming. I don't think a timescale has been announced yet at all :(

edit: Above says 'The multi-year development will roll out in phases beginning in 2021'

Well the 30th anniversary would be in 2022 and the Olympics are in Paris 2024, so maybe something will be ready for one of those dates?
