Dining reservations

We're staying at the Cheyenne 3-6 June, no meal plan, and having just seen the number of toddler friendly attractions that will be closed while we're there (Buzz, Dumbo, Autopia, Railroad), thought that the character queues would probably be heaving, so some character dining would be a good idea.

On my fourth attempt I actually managed to get through to the dining reservations team, to be told they have no availability for Auberge de Cendrillon on my dates.

However, if I create a new booking on the website, I am given the option to book Auberge de Cendrillon and other character meals, at various times/dates.

So how can they have no availability?

Give it a go - but would Inventions be a better bet?

It’s the princesses we really want to see.

However I did ask about inventions and was told the only availability they had was 10pm at night each day.

Eek! Sounds a busy time. Maybe do Plaza Gardens breakfast one day? Cheapest way to meet characters.

I would make a booking for Auberge and phone nearer the time to check it will be honoured.

Will the Auberge breakfast be running then? I heard they are bringing it back.

I’ve tried making a booking for Plaza gardens breakfast, and they said I can’t make a booking more than three days ahead. My travel agent has rung and been told the same thing.

The only way to make an AdC booking online seems to be to make a new hotel booking which obviously I’m not keen to do!

Sadly the breakfast doesn’t start til July 1st, which is gutting because my daughter won’t eat a thing on their lunch menu, I was just going to suck it up and pay anyway!

No, that's correct about the breakfast.

Maybe try AdC nearer the time. From what I can see the food is actually not as fussy as it's described (I think there's pasta with tomato sauce?) so you might be OK.

If they’ll do the pasta plain without the sauce she’d be ok!

Have you booked direct with DLP? If so you can ring up and add it to your booking paying in full. Or keep checking and see if something becomes available

I didn’t book direct no, my friend is a travel agent so I booked through her (she was also £20 cheaper) as a way of supporting her small business.

She managed to get them to add on Inventions, but they still told her that Plaza Gardens and Auberge de Cendrillon were full 🤷🏻

My children both had the pasta, and it comes as a plate of plain pasta with the vegetables on the side and the sauce in a little dish. The fairy nibbles were the same - Mickey toast, cream cheese and salmon served separately, and the desserts were lovely.

While we were there, my friend managed to get a walk-up booking (at Christmas, so at a busy time), so it’s worth asking again once you arrive.

For Plaza Gardens, they won’t be full. We were able to book in advance as we had premium dining, but they only book a few that way, so there should be plenty of space available to book 3 days in advance - I’m pretty sure that’s when most of their tables get booked.
