When did people become so impatient and disrespectful

So today I was following a hearse with a coffin in the back, there where two cars in front of me. It wasn’t a funeral procession but you should show respect. The hearse was going at 20mph in a 30 zone. The two cars in front over took the hearse.
It could be someone’s last journey pay some respect and stay behind.

I didn’t think you could (or maybe should ?) overtake a hearse !?

Show respect - I remember the day when everyone stood still and watched and men doffed their hats. I still stand still (sort of too attention ) when I see one on London - I this what we were brought up to do - always show respect for the departed

If I am on the street and one passes I still stand to attention with my head bowed, manners cost nothing.

I have made that drive in a funeral car following a hearse three times now. Fortunately never experienced that, we saw people stop on the street and lower their heads as we passed.

On a lighter note when my BIL passed away we couldn’t keep up with the hearse on the motorway on the journey to the churchyard where he is buried. It was somewhat apt though as he would have loved it - he never was one who paid much attention to speed limits.

Very poor shop. No respect anymore.

When I was a child we used to draw the curtains if there was a funeral in the road. I drew the curtains for my grandmothers funeral because she always did it.

Aww that's so sad. I always stop and let the cars go or if I am walking I stand still and say a few silent words of respect.

Self self self

That’s the way some people think
