Wedding planning

The other half and I are planning our wedding for sept 2011 in orlando.

We're looking for a wedding venue and while we've seen a few we like, what we really would like is a nice villa with good sized garden that we could have the wedding and a reception in. Theres not going to be a massive amount of people at the wedding about 20-30 adults and mabe 20 kids of various ages. Obviously they would be staying in their own accomedation but we would want them at the villa on the day. So a nice large garden or grounds would be ideal.

The villas I've seen so far have all got lovely pools and large interiors but none mention the size of their garden or grounds.

If anyone can recommend or point me in the right direction I'd be grateful.

It depends on your budget really but if you have your heart set on a villa post a request on the villa forum and they will help you out!

I can help you with a photographer though if you want one, let me know! There is a dibber who is a wedding planner called Carrie at destination occasion who may also be able to help.

I'm not sure of the rules on this but perhaps it would be worth posting in the villa section noting your wishes on having a ceremony/reception at a villa? You might find a few owners able to check dates with you and provide photos of their garden.

When I personally had my own US recpetion for my family we had booked a villa and had a after reception (ours was lunch hour) dinner poolside and it worked really great and we probably enjoyed it as much as we did the actual reception at the hotel. We ordered food from Olive Garden and it worked out great.

Put a few floating candles in the pool and you've got a great setting!
