Liz and Darren's Cypress Grove wedding 2013
 

Hi All!

So, I've been posting asking for advice and reading others wedding plans so thought it was about time to start mine. Hope people will bare with me as I have no idea how to upload photo's via an iPad (or even if I can) so once I figure it out I'll put them in another post.

OK, I'm Liz and my partner is Darren. We live together with our little boy Luca, who is 11 months old in Hyde, Greater Manchester. We have been together almost 4 years and had our first holiday to Florida together in 2010. I had been to Disney 3 times previous and DLP once before and Darren had been lucky enough to stay at Port Orleans resort with friends. We were very lucky in 2010 to find an amazing deal to Florida and once there, knew that when we decided to get married, it would be in Florida.

Fast forward to early 2011 and we have an amazing surprise, I'm pregnant! Typical Darren, who is soo laid back, had an engagement ring but not yet proposed! So he whisked me off for a surprise weekend in the lake district and proposed by the side of lake Windermere, it really was beautiful. With our bundle of joy arriving within a few months we went mad on nursery prep and saving for my maternity leave so weren't able to get married, or should I say have our Orlando wedding :(

September 10th 2011, Our little boy Luca arrived! The following 6 months were hard with trips to doctors and hospitals so once we knew our little man was ok we de decided to book our wedding.

After scouring the Internet for wedding venues, we decided on Cypress Grove and after recommendations from other dibbers I contacted Carrie, Destination Occasion and make enquiries.

We are having a small wedding, I'll get into the details in a bit. We have booked a villa for myself, my little boy, my mum an dad and my little sister. We fly on 23 September 2013 and our wedding will be on 27 September 2013 at 1pm on the beautiful lakeside at Cypress Grove.
