Sweden

Has anyone driven from U.K. To Sweden ? We are thinking of travelling in our campervan next April . We are due to fly to Florida next April but think we will move it to November 21 .

We have driven to Berlin and Munich a few times with just a nights stop over so think with a couple of stop overs it would be perfectly doable and a pleasant journey .

Depending on where you are you can get a ferry from Harwich to Hook of Holland to potentially save driving all the way down to the channel and back up on the continent side.

As you will be just doing sleepovers on the drive across look at the aires (France, Belgium & Netherlands) or Stellplätze (Germany) sites that may be convenient for you to use.

If you travel through Denmark then you can get a ferry across part of the country, or you can use the bridges to drive, its just less direct. Depends on whether you want to use it as a break point. Either way takes a similar amount of time.

Denmark to Sweden from Copenhagen to Malmo is a toll bridge.

You could drive to Harwich during the day and then overnight on the ferry to the Hook and probably drive most of the way the next day maybe overnighting in Denmark.

Would be more expensive than going down the channel I would guess but easier on the driver.
