We are giving it a go again tomorrow. Had to laugh at the working until 4pm on Christmas Eve though . How times have changed and people just accept it !

I got bored after 30 minutes and went and cleaned the fridge. Give me Muppets Christmas Carol any day!

Quite why the BBC thinks we need a "reimagined" A Christmas Carol or War of the Worlds is beyond me, when the originals have stood the test of time.

No we went impressed either! I said the same as OP at the end!
DD is doing it as a GSCE piece so tried to watch but she wasnt really impressed!
We found it really heavy going!

I was disappointed to miss this last night but reading the comments I’m now wondering if I should bother viewing it on catch up?!

Same here, Christmas Carol in most of its guises is my favourite Christmas classic, this sounds like I might well be underwhelmed

I missed this last night but will watch it on catch up. It’s probably my all time favourite story and am intrigued at the bad reviews. I’ve got to watch it though.

I forgot about it being on until about 15 minutes after it had started. Started watching it, got a bit bored, browsed the internet whilst it was on, it only got vaguely interesting towards the end when Marley showed up. It just seemed uninteresting. Lots of nothing going on.

I may watch the second episode but TBH I won't be upset if I miss it.

I thought it was well acted, well made and strangely compelling.

Great setting and costumes

Looking forward to E2.
