School shoes for DS14
Those of you with 14/15 year old boys, can I ask where you buy their school shoes from please? We’re having real trouble this year as DS is a size 9 but also has fairly narrow feet. Usually get them from Next but the ones he usually has only go up to an 8. Tried Clark’s but they all seem quite wide, tried a few in Wynsors today but again too wide.

Mine always had plain black leather trainers as he wouldn’t wear shoes. Was also a game finding ones he would wear (branded) with no colour other than black on them. That said they always lasted a full school year and shoes got replaced every term.

We had the same with DS but found Clarks ok. I think we may have gone for men’s rather than boys, but I can’t quite remember

My ds13 wears adidas Stan smiths, they are all black and polishable leather which are our schools specifications. Most kids wear those or nike airforce1s apparently clarks aren't trendy.

My son has got Dr Martens this year (shoes rather than boots) his feet are quite narrow too but these appear to fit well.

Are they allowed to wear the black leather converse?
There was a massive outcry at DS school because they got banned as they weren’t formal enough. The kids loved them as they were comfortable and parents loved them because they were really well made and lasted ages. https://www.tower-london.com/womens-...=gplauk?esvr=1 If they are allowed to wear them, these might be an option? |
No his school won’t allow any black leather trainers 😞

We get our Son his from M&S - he’s nearly 14. we have a very large store or too far from us. They always last him really well

I got my DS Clark’s size 8.5 with E width today in our local shoe shop. So maybe Clarke’s website would do narrow fitting?

Son gets plain black Nike Air Max 97s from JD Sports. Never had any problems with school.
