France on the quarantine list

Well it’s happened France now on the quarantine list.

So torn between cancelling our trip for 06/09 - 11/09 or waiting it out and seeing if quarantine is lifted. Words can't describe how heartbroken we are :bheart:

😔 I guess we knew it was coming, hope everyone who is still going will be ok with the quarantine 🤞

What a shame for those thrown into a dilemma, having just returned I felt incredibly safe at Disney but cases are rising out there and we need to stay safe. Best wishes everyone x

We’ve got a friend currently in France with his family. He text DH the other day saying he was dreading this happening because of work (his employer’s aren’t generally accommodating even in pre-Covid times). I’m afraid it was always a risk travelling this year that it would happen.

Gutted. Supposed to go Tuesday. Hopefully I can change my hotel to
Christmas time.

Were still going Sunday I think, I am lucky as can work from home and work are okay with that. Just means we will be spending a lot more on insurance than we would normally as will have to go with a specialist one that covers against FCO advice

I expect France will announce reciprocal meausres by the morning, blocking any UK people going to Disneyland even if they were willing to quarantine on return.

Yes maybe, that’s what happened previously though wasn’t theirs a voluntary quarantine? If they did that though it would blatantly be a political decision which would be a big decision, but Macron will want to show his strength... either way it’s sad for those there, about to go or who have booked and bad news for the parks

DH just had a text from his friend who wasn’t due to return for another week. He’s desperately trying to get tickets on Eurostar but is currently number 1007 in the queue. ☹️
