Sanford Airport

Flying with TUI to Sanford and wondering if they have air bridges to exit the plane? I know the airport is relatively small but hoping that we don’t have to use buses.

In May 2017 we used an air bridge at Sanford on flights both in and out. Lovely little airport.

Yes it’s a small airport but things move well and we have always been through immigration and driving out of Alamo between 35 and 55 minutes.
Admittedly there is not a lot to occupy you on departure although we always find the Royal Palm Lounge a good area. You get this automatically if you are PE but you can pay for it.

We have arrived home this morning and airbridges were used on both flights. Airport was fairly quiet in comparison to MCO (Orlando International ). :)

I've flew in and out of Sanford 3 times and they've always used an air bridge then

Thank you for all your replies! An air bridge would be great as I have mobility issues and some bus steps are very high. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Its a great efficient airport. Air bridges used on all flights in the past. Saw 4 US war helicopters being loaded into a Russian plane whilst waiting to return last trip. They flip open the front end of the transporter which was a bit weird. Thought they may have gone in from the rear, pardon the pun.

We've flown into Sanford 4 times I think it is, always had a bridge. We really like the airport and it would be my preference over MCO if it didn't come down to DME and number of airlines using it.

Only just got back and Sanford far easier than MCO,on landing to car rental 42mins,travel time to Disney 47mins,coming home going through customs in Sanford 22mins,short walk from departure lounge to plane gate 6mins,through plane tunnel (no stairs or buses) into our seats 5mins,all easy and comfortable.Hope this helps.:d:
