Great idea/buy for in the parks

Just bought these silicone bags and straws as a package off amazon to use whilst we are onsite in a few weeks. Defo using the straws in animal kingdom as I hate those horrible paper straws 🤢. Going to use the bags for snacks in the parks for the kids and also as ice packs, because we won’t have a freezer just a fridge at Coronado and we like taking some snacks in a cool bag I’m going to fill the bags with ice and the seals makes them leak proof (I’ve tested at home) hey presto little ice packs and when the ice melts can soak our cooling towels in them for the hot afternoon to keep us cool! Few little hacks. Quite cheap too.

All the best tips I’ve used in Florida have come from people sharing on the dibb!

I think paper straws are everywhere now in Disney so you will get a lot of use from the straws. Thank you for the link.

Will you be allowed to use the silicone straws in AK?
I know they are reusable but I thought the paper/card straws were used there in case animals got them. Maybe cast members will query you if they see you using them, but hopefully they would let you carry on using them once explained what they are. Hopefully nothing will happen.
By the way, great find, I’m getting a pack or two as we go out picnicking most weekends thro the summer and looks very useful :thumbs-up

We had no problem this last 2weeks just asking don’t put lids on and using our water bottles everywhere
We do have a selection of reusable ice packs in the villa as well
We even had wooden cutlery in sea world I think dispensed 1 item at a time and mustard ketchup etc in little paper cups rather than packets
And cardboard plates trays for for meals burgers etc
Cardboard straws are everywhere even in restaurants and we found you need to ask in a couple of chains

Worth checking about the ice, I remember reading about not being able to take loose ice into the parks, but I think it was more to do with big cooler boxes.
